11-year-old Nigerian kid invents power generator that works without fuel.

An 11-year-old Nigerian kid named Muhammad Kaumi Bashir has invented a mini-power generator that works without fuel.
Muhammad who hailed from Bornu State, Northern Nigeria was reported to be a first-year student in High school. Being a very inquisitive and brilliant young boy, he decided to fabricate the mini-generator to pursue his dream of becoming an Electrical Engineer.

His invention was able to power light bulbs and could be expanded. According to Bashir’s mother, Mallama Yakaka Kaumi, her son started displaying his creative talent in electronic and mechanical fabrications, right from the tender age of five.

“His life has so far been about inventing and repairing electronic appliances,” she told PRNigeria.

Ahmed AlModather is a Sudanese hero trending all over Egypt’s social media.

Ahmed was traveling from Sudan to Egypt, and while stopping at the train station on the border an old Egyptian woman fell on the tracks, without hesitation the Sudanese hero jump and rescued the woman, but unfortunately lost an arm to the incoming train.

The brave man who received extensive media coverage including AlJazeera was asked if he would it again knowing that he will lose his arm, he reiterated that he definitely will without hesitation, stating that he is thankful that God gave him that arm that was used to save another soul, I can’t imagine living if i had left woman to die.

The Light of The Truth

WHAT IS LIFE ? Man's existence in this world and the creation of this entire universe are not mere accidents or products of a fortuitous nature. This universe, every single atom of it, manifests and leads us to the realization of a Loving, Merciful and All-powerful Creator. Without a Creator, nothing can exist. Every single soul knows that he is existing and that his existence is dependent upon a Creator he knows for sure that he cannot create him self. Therefore it is his duty to know his master, the Creator.

MANKIND: Man is a unique creature. God establishes man as His representative or deputy to govern over all other creatures in this world. He is endowed with the faculty of REASON which sets him apart from all other animals. Together with this faculty to discriminate and discern, man is given the freedom (free-will) to choose for himself a way of life worthy of his position as God's representative or to fall lower than the lowest of all animals or creations. Man is born pure and sinless and is given the choice to do righteous deeds or indulge in sins.

DIVINE GUIDANCE: The Creator, out of His abundant Love and Mercy for mankind has not left us in darkness to discover the right path by trial and error alone. Coupled with our intellectual capability to reason, our Creator bestowed upon us DIVINE GUIDANCE that outlines the Criterion for TRUTH, knowledge, as well as the reality of our existence in this world and the Hereafter.

REVELATIONS: From the beginning of mankind, our Creator sent prophets to convey His REVELATION and to invite human beings to the path of true PEACE and OBEDIENCE to the ONE TRUE GOD. This is ISLAM. This message is conveyed towards successive generations of man through the different prophets, all inviting mankind to the same path. However all the earlier messages or revelations from God were distorted by people of later generations.

As a result, pure Revelation from our Creator was adulterated and polluted with myths, superstitions, idol worship and irrational philosophical ideologies. The religion of God in a sense was lost in a plethora of religions. Human history is a testament of man's drift between light and darkness, but God out of His Abundant Love for mankind has not forsaken us.

FINAL REVELATIONS: When mankind was in the depths of the Dark Ages, our Creator sent His final Messenger, prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) to redeem humanity with the final revelation which represents the ultimate and permanent source of guidance for the whole world.

CRITERIA FOR TRUTH: The following criteria can best serve as a gauge to find out the authenticity of the last revelation (the Qur’an) as words of God:

1. Rational Teachings: Since our Creator bestowed reason and intellect upon us, it is our duty to use it to distinguish the TRUTH from falsehood. True, undistorted revelation from God must be rational and can be reasoned out by all unbiased minds.

2. Perfection: Since our Creator is all perfect, His revelation must be perfect and accurate, free from mistakes, omissions, interpolations and multiplicity of versions. It should be free from contradictions in its narration.

3. No Myths or Superstitions: True revelation is free from myths or superstitions that degrade the dignity of our Creator or man himself.

4. Scientific: Since our Creator is the Creator of all knowledge, true revelation is scientific and can withstand the challenge of science at all times.

5. Factual Prophecy: Our Creator is the Knower of the past, present and future. Thus His prophecies in His revelation will be fulfilled as prophesied.

6. Inimitable By Man: True revelation is infallible and cannot be imitated by man. God's true revelation is a Living miracle, an open book challenging all mankind to see and prove for themselves its authenticity or veracity.

A Ugandan farmer with 12 wives, Musa Hasahya, has revealed that he is no longer opposed to his wives using contraceptives to stop the growth of his family.

According to UK’s Daily Star, Hasahya, is feeling the bite of rising cost of living in Bugisa, Uganda, where he lives with his large family.

Hasahya, 67, said, “I cannot tolerate bearing children anymore because of the limited resources. And on that note I have advised all my wives of childbearing age to go for family planning. I also discourage those who wish to marry more than four wives not to do so because things are not good.”

He added, “My income has become lower and lower over the years due to the rising cost of living and my family has become bigger and bigger.”

Musa, who also has 568 grandchildren, lives in a compound with a 12-bedroom house. He married his first wife Hanifa in 1971 at the age of 16.

He says while he can tell his children and grandchildren apart, he does not know them all by name.

The rising star, 31, was found unresponsive in a car in the US on Tuesday. He is the grandson of musician iconic reggae musician Bob Marley and son of Stephen Marley

Oliver Kahn and the battle with depression

"Two billion people watched me fail", says Kahn in a recent statement while remembering the 2002 FIFA World Cup final. In the 1-0, Rivaldo shoots from distance, Kahn fails to catch the ball, and Ronaldo scores from the rebound. In the end of the game which ended 2-0 for Brazil, Kahn sits down looking devastated and sad in the goalpost. That was the sad look of a defeated man who did everything in power to make sure that a talentless, old, Germany team could reach the final. And that determination is what made Kahn become defeated mentally, so he says.

Kahn plunged into a deep self-doubt after the final whistle. A well respected, and feared goalkeeper, sometimes greeted with bananas or monkey noises in his goalpost at the stadiums. The aggressiveness, the motivation, the determination, is what made him defeated.

Full of energy and mentality. Sometimes the energy and drive to win drains you so much that the failure that follows is an even harsher lesson. Sometimes accepted, sometimes it changes you as a person. The determination and the mistakes "drove me into a tunnel. It was like a burn-out and exhaustion. Sometimes, I found it harder to even take the stairs", said Kahn.

The 2002 World Cup was not the only failure in his sporting career. The 1999 Champions League final against Manchester United, where Bayern conceded 2 goals in the injury time after leading 1-0 for the entire 90 minutes. Around Kahn's peak, the depression had always become a topic of mockery, but nobody guarantees that it is not a topic of mockery in the modern day society either.

Kahn, while knowing the stigma around depresson and mental health issues, decided to take sessions with a therapist, which helped him win a lot of personal battles. The talk of depression on public would have ultimately ended his career. Something among the lines of "For God's sake, there is no way this is going out publicly!" was the attitude of those who could not come out with relief due to the fear of being mocked and missunderstood.

Instead, Kahn went into a stage of acceptance. He took therapy sessions which made him become not only a more balanced footballer, but even more so as a person. While sitting on the bench behind Jens Lehmann in the 2006 World Cup, Kahn became more supportive towards his rival. The "old" Kahn, would have never accepted it.

Around Kahn's peak, again, he was not the only patient from Bayern that suffered from mental health issues. Sebastian Deisler, one of the most celebrated German talents of his time, fell into depression due to the constant injuries that hindered his career, later on, he finished his career emotionally and defeated. He was also another patient of Florian Holsboer, Oliver Kahn's personal therapist and medical professor.

Uli Hoeness, the sporting director of that time, also was aware of the mental health stigma in that time. According to the therapist, Hoeness told him: "I don't care what they say and write in the media. I just want the boy [Deisler] to be well again"

Almost 2 decades later, Kahn now sits as the chairman of one of the biggest clubs in history. A completely changed person, diplomatic and calm, attitudes which some of the Bayern fans do not welcome, as they were always used to seeing Kahn passionate and driven. And when the club faces crisis, you cannot afford to see Kahn calm and diplomatic. "When we were eliminated by Villarreal in the Champions League. I stayed calm. This is not always well received", said Kahn.

"I wanted to change things. To change my personna in my job. I didn't want to run away." Kahn wants to remove the stigma that exists around depression and mental health issues. He urges people to always seek professional help, there is no shame in it.

Prominent American journalist and gay rights activists Grant Wahl has died in Qatar after collapsing while covering the World Cup, sparking an outpouring of shock and grief across the sports world.

He “collapsed” while covering Friday’s Argentina-Netherlands match

“The entire US Soccer family is heartbroken to learn that we have lost Grant Wahl,” US Soccer said in a statement on its official Twitter account.

Wahl had made headlines in November by reporting that he was detained and briefly refused entry to a World Cup match because he was wearing a rainbow t-shirt in support of LGBTQ rights.
