Baby boy made an early appearance! Born Tuesday June 27th, 6 lbs and pure perfection — Meet Myles David Hawkes 💙💚 Our little soldier boy.

My heart is so full of love and I’m so grateful God trusted me to be your mommy! We got this. You and me forever. I love you my little sunshine! ☀️💙💚

And shoutout to my incredible husband who has been a complete rockstar through this crazy week! He does so much behind the scenes that people never know or see. I sure love you ! Wouldn’t want to go through this life with anyone else 💙

My first pregnancy 💙 Keep reading if you want some insight into how it’s been going for this first time mom the last 9 months!

There’s a lot of things that are tough in pregnancy, but one of the hardest has been my body changing! I did not think I would have as much of a hard time with body image as I’ve had. In fact, I was not too excited to take pregnancy pictures— but I knew I wanted to document this special time of life! I feel like I’ve had to swallow my pride this whole pregnancy and try my best to love and accept my body as it supports this baby. Everything got bigger…not just my belly! As a dancer and now dance teacher, I’ve always been body conscious and watching my body completely transform has been humbling to say the least. Not to mention the nausea, exhaustion, and hormone changes that come with it all! The human body is truly incredible and I can’t believe how much moms give up—even before baby is here!

There’s some exciting things about pregnancy too! And feeling my baby boy move has been my favorite! I feel so lucky that I have an active little body in there! He moves around A LOT and I love the reminders that he’s there and we get to meet him soon. 😊 It’s been so fun to feel him move to music playing or respond to my voice and touch. I joke that he’s doing downward dog in there half of the time because his little bum pokes up to my belly button and makes my belly look like a cone! Of all the things to complain about in pregnancy, the kicking and moving I haven’t minded at all. I love my active little boy. I just love knowing my little guy is in there and he’s growing fast and strong. 💙

Are you trying my to be positive but the negativity keeps creeping in? Me too girl. So let me share some hacks I’ve learned about positive thinking. Because I truly believe that as a woman thinks, so she is! 💗 Reprogram your mind with these hacks:
Ask yourself 5 positive questions 3 times a day for at least 30 days. Questions like:
1. What am I good at?
2. What am I grateful for right now?
3. What’s going right lately?
4. How can I have fun right now?
5. How can I show love to someone right now?
Tip: Set a reminder on your phone where these questions will pop up 3xs a day!
