Hi!
My name is Feriel. I am a freedom chaser, a traveler, an earth citizen, and believer in creating a life by design.
My husband and I are former van lifers who transitioned into full-time business owners. In addition to running our Enagic business, we are campground owners in the south of France. In between all that, we spend our free time traveling and exploring the beautiful corners of our planet.
Enagic and the online training community I am part of gave me the tools, courage, and skills to do something as crazy as buying a fully operational campground on the other side of the world.
Kangen Water gave us health, healing, and harmony to stay on this wild ride.
Let’s do this together. Let’s bridge the gap between the dreams in our heads and create a new reality. Say hi if you want to learn how.πŸ‘‹

Since starting an online biz during the pandemic my morning routine has been a lot more extensive. For a while there, I think I was relying a tad too much on these little morning rituals. I now know though that it's not necessary to do all these things to have a good day. One is often enough to get balanced and centered and to start everything on the right foot. Here are a few of my favorite things:

1. Meditation - anything from insight timer, mantra-based meditation, or the fit mind app
2. Brain Dumps -just filling out a page, without too much thought, about my fears, my hopes, or my dreams for the upcoming day
3. Working on Limiting Beliefs - writing down five beliefs and then working through them one by one. Trying to understand why I have them and what I can do to get rid of or minimize them. These are basically a form of cognitive behavioral therapy on yourself.
4. Breathwork for ten minutes - I follow the Wim Hoff Method.
5. 10 things I am grateful for and why.
6. 10 minutes of visualizing, anything and everything - goals, dreams whatever.
7. Affirmations - picking two and repeating them throughout my day.

That’s just some of them, there are even more😳. I understand most people wouldn’t have more than ten minutes to focus on these 'rituals' or methods. But that’s the magic of it; I have found it’s just as effective to do it for a short period of time as it is to do it for an hour. Anything that anchors you in this crazy chaotic beautiful life of ours is a gift.

What are your favorite things to do?

I watched nomadland the other day, and for the first thirty minutes of the movie, I felt my chest tighten out of relived anxiety and familiarity. It was like watching a replay of our life from the last few years. It was uncanny, even the way the scenes were sequenced: the work, the sickness, and ills that happen on the road, the uncertainty of it all, the first fire at night with those kindred spirits, the silent understanding that no matter how uncomfortable it gets out there, how unpredictable, how stressful, this is the only way we’ve learned how to live.

But Chloe Zhao captured it perfectly. It's hard livin. Thankless jobs and stresses that aren’t normal unless you’ve experienced life on the road.

We will most likely never stop this nomadic lifestyle, but we’ve decided to pivot from traveling in our 7O’s camper and work back-breaking 12 hour days for something that isn’t ours.
So this last year, during the craziest time of our lives and pretty much everybody’s else’s as well, we decided to start an online business to fund our future travels, as well as beginning the process of acquiring a second business, something we are very familiar with, and one that aligns and supports this life we love so much, it’s been a dream of ours for years now. It’s still in the early stages.
Currently, we are just going through all the necessary steps and hoping everything works out and falls into place, but we are excited at the prospect of new beginnings and adventures🀞🀞

Smokey says-
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.....

When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves-Viktor Frankl

Remembering this has been life altering for me.

This year has been a year of emotional growth, of expansion. Like roots stretching and creeping against the earth, securing my trunk in the ground beneath my feet. I have been forced to face myself over and over: Who am I without distraction? I’ve traveled and moved around enough to know that wherever I go, there I am. Often that place has been one of internal discomfort and pain, no matter where I ended up. Some things that have helped me lately-
Getting in the drivers seat of my mind, consciously choosing to redirect my thoughts to ones of hope.
Setting boundaries.
Holding space and letting myself feel everything.
Quieting the negative self talk by replacing her with a voice of love, support, and cultivating an unwavering belief that I am and will always be by own best healer.

To that thing you’ve always wanted to do,

You will never be ready, it will never be the right time. If you are hesitant to dive in, if you are afraid to fall, to fail, you will have never known if you were ready, or if it was indeed the right time. You can never be fully prepared for something you’ve never done before, no matter how much you prepare. Taking risks, is where the root of your personal growth begins, of your expansion as a person, as a business owner, as anything really.

As Andre Giles said: A man cannot discover new oceans unless he has to courage to lose sight of the shore.

I like to start my mornings with affirmations. I have a ton written in my notes, some copied from my favorite authors and some I came up with. I pick a random one and will play it on repeat in my brain. Here are some my favorites-

1. The worse use of imagination is anxiety and stress, the best use is creativity.
2. I am worthy, I am capable, I am on the right path.
3. What is good luck? Preparedness and Opportunity coming together.
4. I am lightness of Being.
5. The Universe is working out the details
6. I choose to release the outcome and feel good now
7. I can do hard things.

What are some of your favorite affirmations to help you get through the day?

I love this quote because we are often our biggest obstacles in achieving success. I often find myself paralyzed, unable to reach my next objective or cross out my next β€˜to do’ because of fear based thinking or extremely resistant thoughts. These thoughts literally feel like a downed tree in the middle of the road, or a boulder that would be impossible to move, even with the strength of a 1000 men. So I decided to try something new and to stop resisting, to quit pushing and pulling at these trees and boulders in my mind. To stop trying to move them, and make them go away. I visualize myself just walking around them, finding a new way. Our fear-based thoughts are often louder when we resist them, when we try to cover our ears or shut our eyes to their presence. I have since surrendered to the fact that they are a part of me, but they are not me. They have since quieted down, the obstacles are becoming smaller, and it’s getting easier and easier to walk around them. I am finally getting out of my own way.

This is my Northstar when it comes to building my business. There are so many aspects of it that are daunting, unknown and there are endless β€˜what if’s’ that run through my head. It’s a scary road, but one so worth it to me. It’s a satisfying thought to know the energy I’ve spent on work that wasn’t my own, will now be redirected toward building a better future for myself.

It's always scary trying something new. Diving into the unknown. But if you don't jump into the deep end of the pool today, it will look a lot scarier tomorrow. What is something you have always wanted to try, to start, or to create, that hasn't happened yet because of fear? πŸ’™πŸ’š
