That can mean a lot of things. The Philippines was colonized by many countries and is a melting pot. From various indigenous populations and those of Chinese or Spanish descent. I have a mix of all of the above.

I was never like the โusualโ Filipina that i knew throughout my life. Other girls had perfect long straight hair, no frizz. I had quite a journey with my hair since 5th grade when it became more coarse, frizzy, curly and unmanageable. Basically, a โPuff ballโ. I really had no idea what to do and I wanted to have super straight hair like everyone else. I think it wasnโt till high school I was able to love and accept my curls/waves. This made me unique.

fast forward to postpartum version of myself. My hair used to be amazingly curly and I loved it. With crazy hormones my hair is lifeless and dull. Barely having the dimension. I even had horrible postpartum hair loss. I needed a change so I tried this natural hair company to improve my hair game. Find my identity again.
