Ragati where trout fall from the sky…
During a weekends fishing last month myself .a.s.jones went to ragati for a weekends fishing. We decided to spilt up and fish two sections of the river in the morning to maximise our coverage of the river.
After leap frogging each other Jack pointed out a nice deep pool that I should have a go trying to tempt an elusive Ragati red from the depths. As I began casting we heard crashing from the canopy above us, then a sudden thud at my feet.. what we discovered was quite a nice pound fish flopping on the ground with talon marks through its head. Moments before a fish eagle had the same idea as us and managed to scoop a fish out of jacks pool, and then as he swooped off dropped his price at my feet.
Tough luck for the fish eagle but most certainly eased the pressure off in the persist for that evenings dinner!
Love these gold bars. Nothing beats going up and exploring our highlands and getting rewards like this for doing so.

Here they caught a nice fish on there recent trip to Western Kenya, which I have been told has got them a little hooked to flyfishing. Welcome to the bright side guys!
Please read till the end!
A while back we posted about this FlyBox that we found on the Honi river, unfortunately no one has come fourth to claim it.
What we would like to do in this case, is give the FlyBox, and the flys inside away to someone who is ether just getting in to fly fishing or who is deserving of the flys.
Please share and tag, or PM us the people that you wish to receive the flys. We know it’s not much but it can be a big help to someone.
Lastly if this is the first time you are seeing a post about this and the box is yours please message us so that we can get it back to you.
