Charity at Home Initiative is a group founded by youth who are solely motivated by the desire to make the world a better place. Our slogan, β€˜built on the heart of giving’ is a true reflection of what the community we grew up in stands for and believes in. Our parents were not rich, not by any stretch of imagination. Yet I remember growing up, they instilled in us this sense of belonging and togetherness whereby sharing and looking out for one another and especially the less privileged in the society was such a huge part of us. There was always a group visiting children’s homes, donating food and blankets to the elderly, organizing fundraisers to raise funds for the sick or in support of a child’s education, and basically just giving back in whichever little or big way someone could. It was this collective community responsibility and care for the less fortunate in the society that saw us form this group.
As kids and teenagers, we were very fortunate and blessed to also have senior youths to look up to. Young men and women who, through their words and actions, deliberately chose to be role models to us. People who, shared their resources - time, money and advice with us and proved to us that there’s nothing as fulfilling as going back to the community that raised you and giving back. And so as we walk in the light of those that came before us, we hope to create a community of like minded people who want to make an impact in the world by giving back to the community.
On Saturday 7th October 2023, we will be visiting Meru School for Mentally Challenged and Autistic Children. Your support will be greatly appreciated.

It is with great sadness that we share about the passing on of one of our founding members our brother Joshua Mutwiri. You have been an amazing brother and a friend to many. Your selfless giving in the community and the church made you admired and loved by many. Charity at Home Initiative is deeply saddened by your loss. You took part in all our charity drives and events and pushed us to give back to the community. We loved you and we will miss you. But your good works we will continue to do. Rest in peace brother.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for being your brothers keeper. A month ago when we told you about reviving Charity at Home Initiative all we had hoped for was just to make something small to celebrate with the less fortunate and vulnerable in our society. We had hoped to raise around 15-20k just enough to buy some foodstuff for the children at Meru Children's Home Nkabune. God saw the love of each person involved and blessed and magnified our desire. We were able to get the children foodstuff, clothes, toiletries and so much more worth over 100k. This is the biggest miracle and all I can say is God is greatπŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™ the children will have a Merry Christmas!
