It is with deep shock and sorrow that we announce the sudden demise of our Dear Colleague, The Late Dr. Phyllis Njeri Muigai, BSc.(Psychology), M.D., M.Med (Psychiatry), MBA., which occured on Ester Monday 17th April 2017.
Dr. Muigai worked at Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital from 2010 to 2015, then at Thika Level 5 Hospital, Kiambu County from 2015 until her sudden demise. She was also the founder of MediVa Wellness Centre in Thika and Oasis Nairobi Hospital Doctors Plaza.
Dr. Muigai was a very vibrant and promising Early Career Psychiatrist and Mental Health Advocate. Indeed this is a big blow to the Mental Health and entire Medical Fraternity.
Family and friends are meeting daily at their Family Residence in Ridgeways Springs, Kiambu Road as follows: (See directions as attached)
Wednesday 19th to Friday 21st April from 5pm to 7pm.
Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd April from 3pm to 5pm.
There shall be a memorial service on Monday 24th April at Ridgeways Baptist Church, and burial shall be on Tuesday 25th April in Gatanga.
There are condolence books at Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital, KNH-UoN Department of Psychiatry and Chiromo Lane Medical Centre.

A memorial Ride in honour of Dr, Edwin L.Khayo aka Eddie Aka Doc who lost his life due too one reckless driver's action.We came together and escorted the hearse to the church service, and later on in the day we rode to the accident scene! At the Pangani underpass we placed a wreath and lit candles in honour of our fallen comrade! We created awareness that cyclists are road users too and should be respected as such! It was a day of celebrating his life and his achievments as we cyclists also made our presence felt around the city!May he rest in Peace!
