*Theme: When things not working your ways.*

Genesis 37:17-28
Ephesians 1:3-10
Call to worship Isa. 46:10

".....24 They took him and threw him into the well, which was dry.......28 and some Midianites
traders came by, the brothers pulled Joseph out of well and sold him for twenty pieces of silver
to the Ishmaelites, who took him to Egypt."

*Introduction*
~In the context is the story of Joseph, who waited many years for the fulfillment of the dream God had given him.
~He was falsely accused and imprisoned b4 the time come for him to do what God had shown him he was to do.
~ God gives us hope and dreams for certain things to happen in our lives, but He doesn't always
allow us to see the exact timing of His plan. And sometimes in the process it seems things working not our ways.

*When things not working your ways consider the following in you mind:-*

1. God's plan don't seem logical.
~God allows Joseph to be a position of profound difficulty, leading him into a wedge in a pit
which there was no escape, but God was up to something big.
~God in His wisdom allowed Joseph to be put in a pit right next to the highway coz the free
transportation that he needed to take him to the throne was coming on the same highway.
~Somebody is coming to pick you up from that pit you are in to take you to your destiny.

2. God's Plans do not need your help only your obedience.
~In the whole story of Joseph we have not heard anywhere Joseph resisting or getting angry,
don't be angry when situation seems to let you down.

3. God's plan are always in advance

~ God was not surprised when Joseph was thrown into pit or sold, He knew how it would end before it even began.
~ He didn't have to call an emergency meeting of the Trinity bcoz He forgot something in the
process of Joseph life.
~Isaiah 46:10 " From the beginning I predicted the outcome;....My plan will never fail, that I
would do everything I intended to do. ( Eph.1:4, Isa.48:5, ps. 139:16)
~ If what you see is not what you saw then what you see is temporarily ( Pit of Joseph was temporary)
~ You are in the right pit

*Application and Invitation*
✓In this life God causes things to happen at exactly the right time! Your job is not to figure out when, but to make up your mind that you won't give up when things seems not working your ways until you cross the finish line.
✓ The more you trust Jesus and keep your eyes focused on Him, the more life you'll have.
✓ Trusting God brings life. Believing brings rest. So stop trying to figure everything out, and allow God to work out his process inyour life.

*Prayers*
Lord help us to trust your process even if it doesn't work our way. Amen
