* Siem Reap is a region extremely rich in major archaeological sites, the best known , and most visited are Angkor wat, the Bayoy, Ta Prohm, Banteay srei , they all part of the archeological park.
* However we are not about to describe the archeological park: there is plenty of very good documentation on the site, and let’s not forget that the Angkor complex itself only covers 5% of total surface of the former Khmer Empire. In the Cambodia , EFEO has counted 4500 archeological sites within Cambodia! From Siem Reap, it’s possible to follow up on some of these interesting itineraries and discover the less frequented parts of Cambodia!
1- From Siem Reap heading south-east The Roluos group
* 13 km from Siem Reap on the road NR6 , the Roluos group: the three temples: Preach ko , Bakong and Lolei

4- Phnom Kulen ( kulen mountain)
- Located at approximately 45 km from Angkor as the crow flies, this historical mountain is reachable from Banteay srei ( road 67) , phnom kulen is located at an altitude of 300-490 m with slopes. It’s a water castle where the Siem reap river originated, a suspected basin “built by Khmer engineers in order to permanently feed Angkor Thom!
* It is also a holy mountain because Jayavarman 2 , founded the Angkorian monarchy here in 802 AD .

You will be meet by your English speaking Guide holding a sign with your name on it. Then driving to Banteay chmar Group Temples , Siem Reap- Banteay Chmar temple group- Battambang !
* driving to Banteay chmar, then exploring around, Banteay Top ( Lunch) continue to Battambang province ( overnight at Battambang)
