In 2023, the price of some items belowed will be increased:

1. Seoul subway fare:
Increase 300 won from the end of April 2023.

Standard fare of the Seoul subway is currently 1,250 won, after increasing to 1,550 won. If you don't have a transport card and buy a ticket with cash, the fare will be 1,650 won.

2. Bus fare

Also increased to 300 won from the end of April 2023.

The current bus fare is 1,200 won, will increase to 1,500 won (with transport card) and 1,600 won (pay down). The village bus also increased the base fare from 900 won to 1,200 won.

3. Gas and electricity bills

Electricity charges increase from 1/1/2023 by 13.1 won per KW, so a family of 4 people a month will have to pay 4,570 won more for electricity.

Gas price from April 2023 is expected to increase by 10 won ($0.01) per MJ (megajun).
