"Having suprapubic catheter means I am more prone to getting a site infection due to site basically being an open wound. Think of it as a earring hole piercing.
Due to me needing more frequent catheter changes means that my chances of catching a site infection are multiplied. The catheter goes into the site, through my insides and into the bladder and even in the most sterile of places, it’s still super easy for bacteria to cling on.
Whether I have a site infection or not I still suffer with my site weeping. For some reason this ‘gunk’ stains my underwear which is super annoying! I swear I keep in business from my frequent knicker shopping!
dressings are an amazing solution to helping reduce the risk of catching a site infection. They’re super comfy, spongy, soft and best of all they come pre-cut!! You do not understand the struggle of cutting a dressing and trying to apply it without it sticking to everything it shouldn’t. But with Cath for Cath dressings it’s super simple and they’re a complete life saver! They’re perfect for any catheter user and I’m sure they’re be a life saver in your life too!!"

"The lovely people of sent me their catheter dressings to try out, here is a reel of me applying two of the dressings!✨
As you may know I don’t have a catheter but I do have two feeding tubes, which these dressings can also work with!
Each dressing is sterile, and comes individually in a sealed packet. High-quality foam is used around the tube site/stoma, to act as a cushion! This foam is excellent if you are battling granulation tissue! There is then an acrylic adhesive around the foam which provides strong and stable adhesion, as you can see from the reel they are easy peasy to place!
These dressings are used for the absorption of ooze, which if you’re a tubie you will know ooze just comes with tubes! These also help protect the site and are much simpler to apply than gauze and lots of tape.
I personally would use these dressings when my stomas are not behaving, and I have an infection or granulation tissue. As you can see from my reel I made sure both sites were thoroughly cleaned and dried before placing the 10cm dressings.
Make sure to go check them out!✨"

"The cool people at were kind enough to send me a little swag pack of their new dressings to try out. They’re a fairly new company based out of South Korea. These pads have been my go to to grab to stabilize my dangler and have more comfort. They’re SUPER soft and there’s little padding to keep you comfortable. They’re also super absorbent so I can keep one on all day to catch the goobies that leak from the tube site. The best thing, it takes me 10 secs to put it on.
It’s so easy! I’m gaining some autonomy back being able to do things for myself again and it’s great to have something that makes it a little easier. Shipping was super fast and the team has been so kind since they learned I had this random hospital stay. Definitely recommend checking them out if you have some type of tube that needs a cover.
(Also I’m not getting any money for this, they saw my page, liked how much awareness I spread and wanted to hook me up with some thing to make it easier and get my opinion on how I felt about the dressings)"
Q: How often should I replace my CATH DRESSING?
A: The replacement interval depends on the amount of ooze. The dressing can be worn for 5 days when there's a minimal amount of ooze, but recommended to replace every 2 days.
