The Kiwi Chamber Year End Grand Hui was an overwhelming success with over 100 guests at the New Zealand Embassy residence. Big thanks to NZ Ambassador Bennet and the embassy for all their support for making our event special. We announced our new board for the next year and provided scholarships for two girls from the Songjukwon Girls Residence to travel to NZ to study English. Delicious food, fine NZ wine, craft beer, great raffle prizes from our sponsors, and most of all great fun. The Kiwi Chamber punches way above its weight!

Kiwi Chamber Vice Chairman and owner of Bonny's pub Malcolm Luke and Nick Goodman, Rugby Charity Dinner Team member and co-owner of Sauce visited Seongnam to present the proceeds from the Rugby Charity Dinner to Father Vincenzo Bordo from Anna’s House & Director Kim of the Beautiful World for Youth. Both are outstanding causes for Korea’s homeless & disadvantaged youth. In the case of Father Vincenzo, he knocks out 500 meals a day in the kitchen for the needy who queue in long lines to receive food.

Happy Māori Language Week! Today marks the start of Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori, a week dedicated to the celebration and promotion of Aotearoa New Zealand’s indigenous language.

Keep an eye on our page as we celebrate and reflect upon the taonga (treasure) that is Te Reo Māori.

Another excellent Kiwi Chamber Hui at Braai Republic Itaewon with around 30 in attendance. The event also gave us all an opportunity to celebrate Malcolm Luke Birthday. Great food, wine and beer, a tasty Birthday cake, and loads of fun.

Kudos to Education New Zealand for for a very nice reception at the New Zealand Embassy residence for visiting universities ahead of the New Zealand Education Fair this weekend. The event was also attended by members of the local education industry, the Kiwi Chamber, Kiwi alumni and the local business community. Overall, a fun and pleasant event. A very cool evening with the Kiwi Alumni - New Zealand Alumni Association Korea for dinner and drinks at Sauce for Taco Tuesday. A big thanks once again to the Kiwi alumni who volunteered and provided much needed support for this year’s New Zealand Wine Festivals. Their efforts were above and beyond and the Kiwi Chamber is thankful for all their help. Very tasty food and a good fun had by all.

Kudos to Malcolm Luke, vice chairman of the Kiwi Chamber, for hosting graduate students from the University of Auckland at his establishment Bonny's pub. Several speakers addressed the group providing a Korean market overview, the challenges of doing business in the Korean market and local business culture trends.
