The European Union Delegation in Kuwait held a reception to bid farewell to Ambassador Dr. Cristian Tudor upon the completion of his tenure in Kuwait. Ambassador Tudor delivered a speech in which he said that Kuwait will always be a close and reliable friend to him and the EU. Ambassador Tudor was the first EU resident Ambassador in the first EU Delegation in Kuwait. The event was attended by members of the diplomatic corps and the media.

أقامت بعثة الاتحاد الأوروبي في الكويت حفل استقبال لتوديع الدكتور كريستيان تودور بمناسبة انتهاء فترة عمله في الكويت. و لقد ألقى السفير تودور كلمة تحدث فيها عن العلاقات الوطيدة بين الاتحاد الأوروبي والكويت وأشار الى ان الكويت ستبقى صديق قريب وموثوق للاتحاد الأوروبي وله شخصياً. والجدير بالذكر أن السفير تودور هو أول سفير مقيم للاتحاد الأوروبي في الكويت. وحضر الحفل عدد من أعضاء السلك الدبلوماسي ووسائل الإعلام.

قال السفير الدكتور كريستيان تودور إنه واثق من أن الكويت ستستمر في لعب دور مهم للاتحاد الأوروبي في الخليج وستظل الشريك الطبيعي والحليف للاتحاد الأوروبي، مؤكداً أنه ستكون هناك المزيد من الفرص لتعزيز التعاون بين الاتحاد الأوروبي والكويت، لا سيما بعد أول استراتيجية للاتحاد الأوروبي تجاه الخليج، خلال حفل وداعه لدى مغادرته الكويت وتولي منصبه الجديد.
H.E. Ambassador Dr. Cristian Tudor said that he is confident that Kuwait would continue to play an important role for the EU in the Gulf and would remain as an EU natural partner and ally. Dr. Tudor reiterated that there would be more opportunities to boost EU-Kuwait cooperation, especially following the first EU strategy towards the Gulf. The declarations took place during his farewell reception, as Dr. Tudor leaves Kuwait to assume his new post.
