No no no, waiting for the new year to come isn’t a choice🤭
Even though the whole “resolutions trend” is limited to January, you don’t have to be in sleep mode starting September!
100 days from 365 is around a third of the year! No one wants to waste a whole third😧, right?
Personally, I will focus on improving my sleep again & re-adjusting my number 1 project for the year (in hope of launching it before Christmas)✌🏼

SOFT DRINKS - HEALTH RISKS OR HYDRATING BENEFITS?🥤
Let’s just talk research🤓:
Sugar sweetened beverages (including sodas) have been found to impact brain 🧠 health immensely:
- Memory impairment
- Dementia risk
- Insomnia, agitation & headaches from the caffeine content
Surprisingly though, diet soft drinks (which would seem like the “healthier” option) were associated with an increased risk of metabolic syndrome & insulin resistance🤭
💡Dietitian tip: it’s totally fine to enjoy an occasional soft drink, but avoid making it part of your regular diet 🥤✌🏼

Let’s get into some facts shall we?

Trying your best to avoid throwing food during the constant power cuts?
I have a delicious recipe for you👌🏼
It will save your meat, your cheese and your milk, how about that?😉
~ Cheesy Meat Pie ~
Serves 5
✏Dough Ingredients:
~ 2 cups flour
~ A pinch of salt
~ 4 tbsp olive oil
~ 0.5 cup water
✏Procedure:
~ Mix the flour & salt in a bowl. Then, create a hole in the middle to add in the oil & the water. Combine the ingredients with your hands (or a spoon) until you get a consistent dough.
~ Roll the dough over a flat surface to desired thickness.
~ Transfer to a non stick tart pan (25-30 cm diameter) & into a preheated oven at 200 degrees for 15mins (or until it browns slightly)
✏Meat Filling Ingredients:
~ 1 tbsp oil, for cooking meat & veggies
~ 250-300g low fat ground meat, cooked
~ 3 medium onions, chopped as wings
~ 3 garlic cloves, crushed
~ 2 medium carrots, finely chopped
~ 0.5 cup corn
✏Procedure:
~ Cook the meat on it own with a pinch of salt & pepper.
~ In a pot, cook the onions & garlic, then add in the carrots. Add the corn whenever you get the carrot crunchiness you like. Finally, stir in the cooked meat.
✏️Filling Sauce:
~ 2 cups milk
~ 1 tsp salt
~ 1/4 tsp white pepper
~ 1/2 tsp sweet pepper
~ 1/4 tsp nutmeg
~ 4 tbsp corn starch
~ 1 cup of shredded cheese of choice for topping (mozzarella does it best)
✏Procedure:
Combine all sauce ingredient together & cook in a pot on medium heat until thickened. Then combine them with the meat & veggies, transfer to the tart base, top with the cheese 🧀 & bake again at 200C for 20-25mins (make sure the cheese melts)
