Dr. Sola Aoun Bahous is serving along with 15 international experts on the new International Advisory Committee for Artificial Intelligence that informs education groups in global health on harnessing innovations to advance AI in medical education. The committee is a collaboration between the Association of American Colleges, the National University of Singapore, the International Association of Medical Science Educators and the International Association for Health Professions Education.
Last Saturday, LeMSIC - LAU Section collaborated with LAU Health Clinics in Byblos for a Free Medical Campaign, offering consultations, medications, and lab test discounts from LAU Medical Center - Saint John’s Hospital, led by Dr. Carmel Bouclaous, to address community healthcare needs.
Last week, aspiring medical professionals had the unique opportunity to explore our Internal Medicine Residency Program at the Gilbert and Rose Marie Chagoury School of Medicine during our Open Residency Day, held on February 28th. With addresses from key figures such as Dr. Roula Husni Samaha, Chair of the Department, and Dr. Rajaa Chatila, Assistant Dean of Graduate Medical Education, attendees gained invaluable insights into the program's ethos and vision. Dr. Toufic Chaaban, our Program Director, presented an in-depth overview, highlighting the innovative curriculum and opportunities for growth. The event concluded with a vibrant Q&A session and a hospital tour, providing a glimpse into the dynamic environment where medical excellence flourishes.
As part of our commitment to serving the community, The LAU Gilbert and Rose-Marie Chagoury School of Medicine and the LAU health clinics are partnering with the Lebanese Medical Students' International Committee (LeMSIC) who is proud to announce the 1st Free Medical Campaign of the term. The campaign focuses on Internal Medicine specialties, offering free consultations with internal medicine specialists, along with free medications and discounted laboratory tests.
