Engineering and Testing firm ‘3rd Party Engineering’ is looking to hire a newly graduate dynamic civil engineer.
1. Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
a. Examines and prepares samples for testing.
b. Carries out all physical tests and checks the test results.
c. Calculates and checks the test results and assists in the preparation of the reports.
d. Reviews final test reports.
e. Maintains and calibrates test equipment.
f. Carries out sampling, testing and non-destructive testing on site.
g. Provide timely, accurate service in response to the Laboratory Manager requests;
h. Participate with the in senior technicians in organizing the testing activities
i. Control testing activities during construction projects; spot check data for errors;
j. Meet with inspectors, engineers, contractors, and/or developers to determine corrective action required when there are discrepancies between work done and the approved plans, specifications and standards;
k. Maintain and repair materials testing equipment as necessary;
l. Ensures a tidy workplace in the central laboratory.
m. Take samples of construction materials for examination or analysis in laboratories.
n. Assist in the development of the Quality Management System of the company
o. Ensures that tests are carried with integrity and accuracy and that testing equipment is functioning in good condition
2. Qualifications
a. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B.S.) (BE) in engineering from three Five years or equivalent college or university.
b. Language Ability (Arabic and English): Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
c. Computer Skills: Word processing, Spreadsheets, Internet, E-mail, Database software, Autocad.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the Laboratory Engineer is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. He is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. The Technical Engineer is occasionally required to lift up to 10 kilograms. The vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

3PE has completed the study of the cracks located in the Slab on Grade at Zgharta Vegetable Market. The study is unique by determining the cause of the defects, identifying responsibilities and liabilities.

Step 1: Site Inspection, identify root cause analysis and verification of drawings. The site inspection was conducted using NDT latest state of art equipment.

Step 2: Conduct Non Destructive Testing and allocate the width and depth of cracks. Provide information about the quality of the placed Slab on Ground.
