💜 Beetroot juice increase the amount of nitric oxide (NO) exhaled during respiration. CF patients known to have low nitric oxide in their exhaled breath. NO plays important roles in protecting the airways against inflammation and infections. Researche has proven that CF patients with higher levels of NO in their airways and NO metabolites in their sputum have better lung function, which suggests that increasing levels of nitric oxide may improve lung function in CF

Swimming will help make your respiratory system more efficient. Water will compel your body to use your lungs to supply oxygen to your blood. The more you swim, your heart rate will slow down and your blood pression improves. This makes breathing a much easier task. Swimming regularly will make you healthier overall. Swimming will help expand your lung capacity, which will help you develop more endurance in and out of the pool.
