Make A Better Place | Lakhiru Sewana Flats | Children's Program

The project "Make a Better Place" was a continual program to appreciate everyone as equal. We expected to begin it in Maligawatta flats. Here, we prioritized facilitating educational progress, behavioral changes and skills development.

None other than other projects, we highly appreciated parent or guardian involvement to help out children for their future. Moreover, we hoped to implement social media throughout our project to grab the attention and support to make it successful. With pure intention, we expected to bring everyone to light which will be effective for their lives. Finally, we would like to proudly mention that, "Make a Better Place" is a social responsibility beyond a project.

Successful completion of the project

The project was initiated from 8th of October to 8th of December in 2023 with the active engagement of 300+ participants. Among more obstacles, we were able to make an impactful change in the selected context with the guidance, support and encouragement provided by the National Housing Development Authority, Rotaract Club of University Alumni, Rotaract Club of Alumni of the University of Moratuwa. It was done in two phases; a children's fat program and the project "Find me" which was a workshop and awareness program for mental and physical well being. We received sponsorships from Dream Catcher LK Photography for the first phase of the program and BK Photography and Triography Videography for the second phase. With their contribution we could expand the network in the project to give a message to our society to be connected with the team behind the project for more ventures. Enriching the progress in education, mental and physical well being, parent and guardian interaction and making a distinct environment for a life change were successfully achieved through the program.
