Nairobi get ready for the biggest sports festival for peace to hit the streets! The initiative we be led by partner youth led sports organizations in Kenya.
Urban Legends 254 borrows from the Sri Lankan concept of street football and aims to use this project to utilize the unifying power of football especially among the majority youth. The project will provide an inclusive environment that will transcend the noted structural challenges that promote marginalization and disunity. The street football festive tournament will attract university students, y
outh from vulnerable communities and celebrity sportsmen and artists. The tournament will also utilize side events to promote talent among the youth, these include: a FiFA PS competition, king and queen of futa tricks, an acrobats competition and drumming expo. The Nairobi edition will flag off a similar initiative to be taken to other parts of the country with an aim of building talent from the grassroots for vulnerable youth and children while promoting an inclusive society throughout the country. The youth oriented project will look to address the exclusive system in place and transcend the fault lines in society that foster division.
