Components of the SOLCO Solar Collector Panel:

1. Absorber Plate- The absorber plate consists of copper fins ultrasonically welded to copper riser tubes, to provide excellent heat transfer between the fins and the riser tubes, ensuring high efficiency. The selective heat absorbent coating is obtained by Black Chromating of the fins, ensuring maximum heat absorption.
2. Insulation- The absorber plate is encased in 25 mm rigid polyurethane foam, with an option of an additional layer of glass wool, retaining the collector’s panel.
3. Solar Glass Glazing- The single-pane 3.2 mm solar glass is patterned to reduce reflection and tempered to maximise the strength and durability. The 0.03% low iron oxide content enables a high solar transmittance of 91%.
4. Casings- All anodized aluminium extrusion casings are made of solid constructions available in a natural colour.
5. Tubing Grid- 5/8” or 8 mm copper risers brazed to 1 1/8” or 7/8” copper manifolds with optional flow distribution.
6. Back Plate- The back plate is made of black polypropylene sheet.
7. Aluminium Foil- The aluminium foil acts as a barrier against our gassing, integrated to the insulation. Our Hybrid Solar Water Heaters are:

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Is installation free? Installation will be done free of charge by PE Plus (Pvt) Ltd. For the Solar Water Heater, hot and cold water lines, plumbing should be done at the nominated place as advised by the Customer Service Team of PE Plus (Pvt ) Ltd.

2. What about the warranty? Warranty will be given for a period of 10 years for any manufacturing defects. It limits to repair / replace any part / parts of the system other than the electrical elements and the float valve. Electrical elements have 12 months replacement warranty.

3. Is any electricity required for operation of the solar water heater? No electricity is required for heating or circulation of water or any other operation in a solar water heater. However, in case a back-up heater is provided to take care of hot water requirements during cloudy days, electricity will be required.

4. What is a pressure and non-pressure system? a) Pressure System
If the customer requires using a pressure pump to the hot water system, then the customer should acquire a Pressure type solar water heater. b) Non-Pressure System
If the pressure-head of the overhead water tank is more than 2.5m from the solar water heater, then the customer can opt for a non-pressure type solar water heater. Estimated requirements of hot water:
