It has been nearly 24hrs since President Weah responded to Mr. Cummings’ “Open Letter” addressed to him… Weah did not only respond to the contents of the letter, he levied accusations against Mr. Cummings. What is the ANC waiting for to launch 🚀 further intellectual “bazukas”? This suppose to have been your “forte”!!!

You have gotten the government on the defensive for the first time in many months. All you can do now is to continue the attacks..

What this does is place the debate for a better Liberia between you (ANC/CPP) and the CDC. The more people are talking about Cummings Vs Weah, the better… Remember, UP is the first obstacle you have to overcome before you can dethroned Weah.. And there is no better way to archive that making use of what could be a continuous back and forth between the two …

We applaud the US Government targeted sanctions on top Liberian Government officers, for acts of corruption.

Corruption has caused an Immeasurable damage to our country. Therefore, any step taken, be it local, national and/or international that is intended to curb such is and must be welcomed by ALL.

Having said that, our advocacy( War and Economic Crimes Courts, good governance) over the years for a better Liberia has not been just about the Weah government; it has included governments beyond. In this regard, we are calling on the US Government to go a step and also sanction past and former government officials who had engaged in similar or even worst acts during previous governments..

What McGill is excuse of doing today, Robert Sirleaf did worst. He must be sanctioned, charged and try in the US for corruption in Liberia… Like McGill, Rob was the singular most power, most corrupt government official of mdm Sirleaf 12yr of malfeasance… jail him NOW!!!

When the oppressed, becomes the oppressor”

By the end of the Weah’s presidency- be it one or two terms, no political party or group of Liberians would have demonstrated/protested than the CDC did in 12yrs under madam Sirleaf’s administration.

The likes of Acarous Gray, Jeff Koijee and Mulbah Morlu regularly put young people in the streets to protest/demonstrate against bad governance. Protest was the language of the CDC.

Unfortunately, this CDC led government has clamped down on protests. Beating citizens who dare to exercise their constitutional rights.

This disregard to the constitution took on a more scary and worrisome twist when group of Young folks under the banner CDC COP , sponsored by Jeff Koijee brutalized a student of SUP, a UL base student political party for protesting against the Weah’s administration..

Koijee and Morlu can have all the press conferences they want. They were in the know of the CDC so called counter protest to that of SUP n know the ramifications of such moves..

As Paulo Freire said “ The Oppressed, instead of striving for Liberation, tend themselves to become oppressors”. The CDC that was once oppressed, is now the new oppressor.

So help us Lord!!!!

Liberia at 175

As we celebrate “MAMA Liberia today at our homes, entertainment centres, various pools and beaches, night clubs and all over Liberia and the world, let’s take a second and retrospect. Is this country, Liberia, proud of us as its children?? Have we been patriotic enough to this land? Have we treated this country fairly as its leaders and citizens?

This land has given us abundance of national resources, a fertile soil for farming, an ever green forest, a cost line with beautiful beaches, mineral filled mountains like Mount Nimba and the wologisi.. and everything that a nation needs to proper; have we done this country any good, as the first REPUBLIC on the continent? Can Liberia sit among Guinea, Ghana, Nigeria and others countries and brag that she is the oldest in the room?

For one half of a century, this country has endured a lot from us its children with no end in sight. Governments after governments have continued to mortgage all the resources mama Liberia has given us. We soaked the entire land with innocent blood in a senseless tribal war for 14yrs in the name of revolution… is this fair to our beloved country? We litter/trash everywhere. Our streets, communities, backyards and cities are covered in filths, making mama Liberia one of the dirtiest countries in the world.. How could we? What about corruption? What about Justice? Poverty reduction? Is mama Liberia happy with Us?

As we gather to commemorate this glorious land of Liberty on its 175th Independence, let us be reminded that she’s ashamed of us, she is weeping, bleeding and disgusted, that the men and women to whom she given all in life have yet to make her proud as Africa’s first independent Republic on the continent… As the song writer says “ Liberia is crying “ and in the words of the Current US Ambassador to Liberia “ what would Joseph Jenkins Roberts say” if he was alive today?
