Former US President Donald Trump plea not Guilty after classified documents case ends in Court.

Trump faces 37 counts related to the mishandling of classified documents, including 31 counts under an Espionage Act statute pertaining to the willful retention of national defence information. The charges also include counts of obstructing justice and making false statements, among other crimes.

Trump is accused of keeping documents related to “nuclear weaponry in the United States” and the “nuclear capabilities of a foreign country”, along with documents from White House intelligence briefings, including some that detail the military capabilities of the US and other countries, according to the indictment.

The 49-page indictment alleges that Trump showed some of the documents to people who did not have security clearances to review them. He later tried to conceal documents from his own lawyers as they sought to comply with federal demands to find and return documents.

The top charges carry penalties of up to 20 years in prison.

A Press Release
WAEC Condemns Distribution Of Fake Exam Materials on Facebook
PRESS RELEASE 👇👇👇
Monrovia – The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has expressed deep concern over the dissemination of counterfeit questions and answers for the ongoing WASSCE for School Candidates, 2023, on various social media platforms, particularly Facebook and WhatsApp. The Council has categorically stated that these materials are fictitious and warns candidates, parents, and school authorities to be vigilant and refrain from falling victim to these scams.
In a press release issued today, the Secretariat of WAEC emphasized that unscrupulous individuals are engaging in these illicit practices solely to enrich themselves at the expense of the candidates. The Council firmly denounces such actions and assures the public that it has implemented multiple measures to counter these nefarious activities. Furthermore, WAEC is collaborating closely with state security agencies to swiftly apprehend and bring the perpetrators to justice.
The Council extends its gratitude to the security actors for their unwavering support in combating examination malpractice during the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2023. WAEC acknowledges the importance of their continued dedication and emphasizes the critical role they play in safeguarding the integrity of the educational system in the country.
In order to curb this academic malfeasance, WAEC urges the public to play an active role by promptly reporting any instances of examination malpractice. The Council has provided a list of mobile numbers to contact: 0777093933, 0880686862, 0775067658, 0886353624, 0770133015, 0770747124, 0886539130, 0776344245, 0886113457, 0775844186, 0886454619, 0775039626, 0886953980, 0886449774, 0770120347.
Meanwhile, the Secretariat strongly condemns the practice of schools and candidates engaging in “camping” and paying “flexibility fees” to receive assistance before, during, and after the examination. WAEC warns all parties involved to immediately cease these activities or face the consequences of their actions.
The West African Examinations Council reiterates its commitment to upholding its reputation as a world-class examining body that conducts credible examinations in the public interest, not only in Liberia but also in the sub-region. The Council remains dedicated to promoting the integrity of the educational system and ensuring a fair and transparent assessment process for all candidates.

🚨BREAKING: Neymar season OVER with ankle ligament surgery, out for 3-4 months

Neymar has had his season ended after it was confirmed he will need surgery on an ankle injury suffered last month - meaning he will miss PSG's crucial Champions League trip to Bayern Munich this week.

The Brazilian forward was forced off with an ankle problem during PSG's win over Lille on February 19, and has not played since.

The club has now said Neymar will be ruled out for between three and four months by surgery, which will be carried out in Doha.

A statement from PSG said: "Neymar has had several episodes of right ankle instability in recent years.

"Following his last sprain contracted on February 20, the medical staff of Paris Saint-Germain recommended a ligament repair operation, in order to avoid a major risk of recurrence.

"All of the experts consulted confirmed this need. A delay of three to four months is expected before his return to collective training."

6 March 2023/NEC Press Release

NEC Releases Lists of Voter Registration Centers for Phase One Counties
Monrovia…… In keeping with law, the National Elections Commission (NEC) has released the listing of Centers for the conduct of the 2023 Voter Registration for the first six Counties in phase one.

The NEC will commence the process of registration on 20 March in six of the 15 counties of Liberia, representing phase one.
The six Counties are Gbarpolu, Bomi. Cape Mount, Margibi, Bassa, and Montserrado. Phase one will run from 20 March to 9 of April.

Phase two will run from 21 April to 11 May with the rest of the other nine Counties.
The New Elections Law (1986) of Liberia mandates the NEC, in Section 3.2(a), among others to make the listing of Centers public not later than two weeks to the first day of the registration. It also warns registrants, in Section 3.1, to register at the Center they ordinarily reside and must vote where they register.

The NEC is therefore encouraging Liberians of voting age to familiarize themselves with the registration Centers near them in preparation for registration.

As mandated by law, NEC is using several channels to populate the locations of the Centers, including on the NEC website, www.necliberia.org, at NEC local magisterial offices, and local dailies for more visibilities.
