and remember: if that place has you acting out of character, it's probably because you don't belong there.
Beautiful experience in Bassa. ❤️
Meeting the people, listening to them share their experience, and showcasing what we are building at LEO Nutrition.

It is nearly impossible to overstate the importance of the voice of the young people in these elections.
Who do we see as best suited to lead our nation for the next 6years?
What kind of electoral process do we want to have?
How do we not let our split in thoughts grow into a wedge that drafts us apart?
These are few of the questions the young people must answer as they serve as the deciding voice in these elections.
We were not placed on this Earth
to shrink and hide
We were place here
to bloosom, to grow
to reflect the light of the enternal source.
When we say “don't use Liberia as a crutch” we are not saying that there aren't obstacles that we all are faced with the stamp solely from the fact that we are young Liberians. Because then that would be a pretty ignorant thing to say. But again that can be said for every society.
What we are saying is, before you start to blame Liberia please make sure you're doing everything you could be doing. Because it is so easy to o blame Liberia, often times we fail to give even half of effort required for the results we claim that we want.
Before you blame Liberia, please make sure you are giving everything you can. Find something to do, thrive to do it well.
Don't use Liberia as a crutch.
Have a great week.
Took a picture with the newest Master Guide. 😁❤️
another time to make an offering, to give my best and cross my fingers that when the fire is lit the smoke will sail to the heavens. I want to be able to say I left my best at the alter, for I don't then my conscience will get beaten with a cane. so here we go again. ❤️
Yesterday, I received a message from a stranger saying I inspired them to start writing, this was a very big compliment. But as wholeful as that felt, to be completely honest, I don't think I have earned it yet. Because in my mind I have barely even started.
However this made me sit and reflect on what all this colorful journey has brought me. Being a Liberian creative means every day you'll face:
Pessimism. This is something I believe every young Liberian who tries to do something new has to deal with. “It won't work” “lah thing na for Liberia” on and on the society feeds you a million reasons to stop.
You'll be overlooked. If you are a young creative then you know exactly how this feels. People be like “I want you to perform a lil poem” “I want you to write me a lil script”. By the time you put “a lil” you sound dismissive of the very thing you are asking me to do. And that's the thing, I feel this society doesn't understand the gravity of what we do.
You'll be starved of support. The age old cry of Liberia creatives. Liberian creatives have sang this for so long, it might be considered the national anthem of Liberian creatives.
But the roses are more than the thorns, it is still a beautiful journey, with alot of amazing experiences. Like everytime you perform at an event or put out a new work and people get to share their thoughts and feelings about the work; it is always an interesting experience.
I consider it a blessing to be given this gift, this responsibility. The is so much to do, but I believe this generation of Liberian creatives is going to do something special.
okay now, I'm going back behind my computer. ❤️
.on a mission to shift the culture. ❤️
somewhere between
dreaming it
and living it
somewhere between
giving myself a standing ovation
and giving myself the look of an African father
whose child handed him a report card with 70s
somewhere between
growing old with one girl
and turning into Trevor, telling every girl she's the one for me
