Therefore, whoever thinks he is standing securely should watch out so he doesn’t fall.

NOTE:
Brethren, pay attention that you do not glory in your graces, but let all your glorying and confidence be in Christ and His strength, because only in this way you can be kept from falling. Be much more diligent in prayer. Spend longer time in holy adoration. Read the Scriptures more earnestly and constantly. Watch your lives more carefully. Live nearer to God. Take the best examples for your pattern. Let your conversation be full of heaven. Let your hearts be perfumed with affection for souls.

You must live in such a way that people may recognize that you have been with Jesus and have learned of Him; and when that happy day shall come, when He whom you love shall say, "Come up higher," may it be your happiness to hear Him say, "You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and henceforth there is laid up for you the crown of righteousness that doesn't fade." PRAYER:
I pray that God will guide you and give you the grace to endure to the end; in the name of Jesus.

14 “You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden.
15 People don’t light a lamp and put it under a basket but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 In the same way, let your light shine before people in such a way that they will see your good actions and glorify your Father in heaven.”

NOTE:
Brethren, if we will live to fulfil purpose, we must understand who we are. As believers, we are by nature the light of the world. That's what we are! A light is that which enables people to see or which makes vision possible. Light goes with sight. Light illuminates, exposes, guides, and directs.

As we walk through this spiritually dark world, we must do what we are made to do - shine. Let's help people to see the Way and the Truth; let's expose the deeds of the power of darkness; let's guide and give direction to those that are lost; let's make the difference. Beloved, let our light shine in this dark world in a mighty way that people will see our good works and glorify God, our Father.

PRAYER:
I pray that God will enable you to shine your light and make the difference in this spiritually dark world; in the name of Jesus.

43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You must love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy.
44 But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you,

In the life of faith, neutrality is not an option. We are either ranked under the banner of the Lord Jesus, to serve and fight His battles, or we are slaves of the dark prince, Satan.

To whom do you belong? Let me assist you in your response. Have you been born again? If you have, you belong to Christ; but without the new birth you cannot be His. In whom do you trust? For those who believe in Jesus are the sons of God. Whose work are you doing? You are sure to serve your master, for he whom you serve is thereby owned to be your lord. (C.H Spurgeon)

Beloved, let us submit to the lordship of Christ Jesus, not the dark power of riches.

PRAYER:
I pray that you will always be fully submitted to the lordship of Christ; in the name of Jesus.

As for me, I said in my prosperity, “I will never be moved.”

NOTE:
Wealth, fame and easy life have a way of tempting even the most powerful Christian to walk in its pride, pleasure and arrogance.

Brethren, let's be careful when we find ourselves walking in the smooth places of life. When we begin to experience the blessings of God, we must not allow ourselves to be carried away by the blessings and forget about God who gave us the blessings. Let's always remember that we are stewards of everything that God has given to us, and that we will give account of them.

Beloved, let's not become intoxicated with pride, pleasure and arrogance.

PRAYER:
I pray that God will give you the spirit of humility in prosperity and fame; in the name of Jesus.

TEXT: John 15:4 ISV
Abide in me, and I will abide in you. Just as the branch cannot produce fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.

NOTE:
Jesus extends an invitation asking us to make Him our permanent home and have continual fellowship with Him. If we abide in Him, He will also abide in us. This indicates that Jesus wants to settle down in our hearts, not just visit as a stranger.

Jesus desires that each of us as His disciples will abide in Him, rest in Him, share His life and allow Him to produce much fruit in our lives, because in so doing the Father is glorified.

As we desire to be fruitful Christians, we must know that fruit bearing is only possible if we abide in Jesus. He is the source!

PRAYER:
I pray that there will be a hunger and thirst in your spirit for an unending fellowship with God; in the name of Jesus.

21 As they were proclaiming the good news in that city, they discipled a large number of people. Then they went back to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,
22 strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith. “We must endure many hardships,” they said, “to get into the kingdom of God.”

NOTE:
Brethren, this Christian life that we are living is not going to be free of temptations and tribulations. However, our God is able to protect us and bring us out victoriously.

As we have entered God's family by grace through faith, and have become disciples of Jesus, we now need to have our faith strengthen and nurtured to maturity. Let's give ourselves to the Word of God, prayer and fellowship.

We will encounter tribulations that may test our faith; but I'm encouraging us to continue in the faith and not compromise. Our God is with us!

PRAYER:
I pray that your faith will be strengthened to overcome tribulations; in the name of Jesus.

Jesus told his disciples, Have faith in God!

NOTE:
Faith is a very important element of the Christian faith. It is the oil that keeps us moving. Faith is also the hand that we use to grasp whatever we ask for in prayer. Faith acknowledges the things unseen, and acts as if they were visible.
God must always be the object of your faith; that was the direct instruction of Jesus to His disciples. Consecration to God and faith in God ought to characterise every believer.
As you go to God in prayer, you must always believe that He is faithful, and that He is able to give you anything you ask for that is consistent with His word, and you must believe that you have it.

PRAYER:
I pray that your prayers and declarations will always be characterised by genuine faith in God, knowing that God is your only source; in the name of Jesus.

Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

NOTE:
The words of Charles H. Spurgeon: "Regeneration is a subject that lies at the very basis of salvation, and we should be very diligent to make sure that we really are 'born again,' for there are many who imagine they are, who are not. Be assured that to be called a Christian is not the same nature as being a Christian, and that being born in a Christian country and being recognized as processing the Christian religion is of no significance at all unless there is something more added to it... This great work is supernatural. It is not an operation that a man performs for himself: A new principle is infused that works in the heart, renews the soul, and affects his whole life. It is not a change of my name, but a renewal of my nature, so that I am not the man I used to be, but a new man in Christ Jesus."
Salvation is made possible by faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Outside of Christ, you are unsaved, unpardoned, without God, and without hope.

PRAYER:
As God has displayed His love for us, I pray that you will accept His love, and that God will grant you assurance of salvation; in the name of Jesus.

BIBLE VERSE: 1Thessalonians 5:5,6 ISV
5 For all of you are children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to darkness.
6 Therefore, let’s not fall asleep like others do, but let’s stay awake and be sober.

NOTE:
As believers, we are different from unbelievers in our nature, and this difference must reflect in our conduct. We must not be spiritually asleep and become unconcerned in sin as well as careless in the performance of the call on our lives and the assignment God has prepared for us to accomplish.
Let us be on the alert!

PRAYER:
I pray that God will help you to be in a continual state of alertness in light of the imminent return of our Lord; in the name of Jesus.
