𝐊𝐮𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 ‘𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲.’ This is a day to focus on your creative talents and recognize the talents in others. There are many ways to be creative from the approach in your work to singing to meal planning. Consider tapping into something new.
𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞. When Sustainable Liberia was doing micro-loans for small businesses, a divine opportunity, and some creative thinking helped us to pivot to supporting an elementary school. The village asked for our help. Sustainable Liberia walked on to the divine path. Now, Sustainable Liberia has elementary schools and adult education opportunities. The creativity of imagination helped us to pivot to other opportunities to support Liberian communities.

𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞? 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞? Everyone is given a measure of spiritual gifts, and life gives you numerous experiences. 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥. You are uniquely made. No one is exactly like you. No matter your age, there is a plan for you. There is space in the world for you to follow your path to fulfill your purpose. If you’re already fulfilling your purpose, be encouraged. Continue forward in making your impact. Today Sustainable Liberia celebrates Mother's Day by focusing prayers on women. Women are an important part of Sustainable Liberia's mission to uplift and empower communities.

The Liberian Christian tradition observes Mothers' Day by selecting a female from the congregation who serves as Mother of the Year. The chosen female is a lady who exhibits characteristics of a Godly woman. Some characteristics include: dedication to Christ and the church, nurturing of members in the faith community, humility, hospitality, generosity, and a reputation for holy living. The Church organizes a program to honor this individual during the worship service.

This year we honor Yassah Morris for her dedicated services and the motherly presence she embodies at the Coal Pot Queen's Restaurant and in the community. Yassah is a mother of two sons Arthur (16 yrs) and William (14 yrs). Yassah mentors women at her church and has a reputation as a Godly woman. She is a respected mentor and role model for women and men enrolled at Sustainable Liberia Vocational Training Restaurant.
Congratulations Yassah! Thank you for all you do!

Proverbs 31:28-29 (NIV) reads:
Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her. "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all."

Please pray for Yassah's family. Lift up Yassah to continue to grow in faith. Pray for her health, household, and all those she mentors.
