As a way to start a successful year after a while, a one-day conference is the way to begin with. The conference was participated by high school students in the Johnsonville belt. It highlighted topics involved with the Sustainable Development Goals. Thanks to our panellists and special guests.

What is the Afro-Women Leadership Network?
The Afro-Women Leadership Network is a network that was purposely established to provide Mentorship, Motivation and Mind Stimulation to Young Women and Girls throughout Africa. The network is going to build the capacities of the emerging young girls that have not yet discovered their potential. The Afro-Women Leadership Network will shift the mind and understanding of girls on issues pertaining to growth and development. The Institution will create Programs that will mentally enriched vulnerable women in the various Communities where it may come in contact with.

Why Afro-Women Leadership Network?
Having conducted many surveys in different environments in both Guinea and Liberia in reality and analysing data collected through research on the internet, we have come to realize that there are many Vulnerable Women and Girls on the continent of Africa. There are about 30 % of the continent's women and girls that are facing deplorable situations. There are over 30% of people that do not know what they want to do. They are lacking both the external wills and the inner power to pursue something they wish to achieve. It's based on those challenges that the Afro-Women Leadership Network came into existence to help give young women and girls the inner strength that will improve their external power to pursue their dreams. The Afro-Women Leadership Network is just coming to motivate but will also provide a platform that will allow Young Women and Girls to walk through the challenges and achieve their dreams and goals. The Network will train, mentor, and inspire them to be rational decision Makers and Policy Makers that will not only contribute to the development of themselves but to overall progress and development of their societies.

Who are Afro-Women Leadership Network Targeting?
The Afro-Women Leadership Network is specifically targeting every person, as long they are found within women's gender circle. The Afro-Women Leadership Network will target Women and Girls of all ages as long they need both physical and mental stimulation and empowerment. It will also focus on vulnerable children of all fabric of society.

My name is Makessa Konneh
My dream is to become a Politician
Because I want to support, propose and create laws or policies that will govern the land and by extension it's people.
My dream for becoming a Politician came as a magic to me, few years back when; I was in the seven grade class;
My school organized an election which I didn't take part because I wasn't having any passion about becoming a Politician. I was only focusing on my journalism career it was my passion at first, although I still have passion for journalism but It is not equal to becoming a Politician.

But as times went by my colleague (s) won the election and they all served their various positions well.
So, one-day after school I went home my heart started telling me that I must become a Politician.
I really admire my friends in the political field.

I took three good days thinking about it and I was asking myself question like;

*How will I become a Politician which I have no idea on?
*How will I even rule the people's that I will be leading? The questions was just too many.
Until then, I asked one of my instructor;
He started to encouged me that it is a great dream and he gives me more highlight about leadership.
At that point, that was how my passion about becoming a Politician came about.
And definitely the following year I served as the president of the health team in my school.
