Chimamanda Ngozie Adichi:
The hardest truths are those that we have to tell ourselves about our own failures and fragilities.
Poet Mary Oliver
Whoever you are, no matter how lonely the world offers itself to your imagination.
Every journey has a potential to end on a note of hope. β
Happy birthday to the King!!
One of the world's greatest basket ball players, Michael Jordan, says :
I have missed 9000 shots in my career, and lost over 300 games. 26 times, I have been trusted to make a goal winning shot, and I missed. I have failed over and over again in my life; that's why I succeed.
"It is not whether you get knocked down; it is whether you get back up and keep going," Hillary Clinton says.
Your success depends on you summoning up the courage to reflect on your failures and begin again. β

Of course it's hard. It is supposed to be hard. If it weren't, anyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great.
You may have been told that you are not capable of achieving your goals; that you cannot attain anything of value; that so and so has tried the same idea you're passionate about, and failed, so you too will definitely not make it. However, you're are unique in your own right. You're walking your own journey. Summon up the courage to try something; that something you have never done before, and work hard for its success. πͺπͺπͺπͺ πΆ
There is always something to learn from the perspective of others. Sit down. Humble yourself. Listen. Learn.
Happy Father's Day to every present and responsible father!!!
Your best moments in life are still ahead of you. You are yet to shine bright, glow and achieve more than you ever imagined.
We're teaching them to be great people but there are people out there, seemingly more powerful than we are, who are teaching them to be bad people. They're taking advantage of the kids' vulnerability, and they are succeeding. It's bad. π§π§π§π§

Maya Angelou says that your legacy is every life you touch. Today as we celebrate Africa's Day, do something to change someone's situation. You may not succeed in changing the whole world but you can muster the strength to change one person's life, at least one person's life. You would have changed a piece of the world and it will not only be your family and friends who celebrate your existence but those whose situations you would have altered as well. π€π€π€π€
Every morning I wake up, look around and realise how little I know about the world. That is why I read. Reading will buy you a ticket to places you would never visit any other way.

Eleanor Roosevelt:
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself 'I have lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' You must do the thing you think you have never done.
Les Brown :
When you face your fear, most of the times you will discover that it was not really such a big thread after all. We all need some form of deeply rooted, powerful motivation - it empowers us to overcome obstacles so we can live our dreams.
Be courageous!!!!
Bonkhe Shabangu:
Develop a habit of going an extra mile in everything that you do.
Every person is unique in their own way. Find that one that makes you stand out, special. Nurture it, harness it, revere it. Think about it whenever you go through an emotional winter, because that is one thing that will lift up your spirit. You are special in your own way. The world is in dire need of people like you. πππ
My only hope for these coming elections is that no politician will try to scoop sympathy votes by invoking someone's death. We need to ignite real conversations that will contribute immensely to the development of this country this time, at least this time . ππππ
We cannot always succeed in bending the world into the shapes we want but we can always try.
Take every morning as a chance to reflect on your shortcomings and change for the better. If you're still alive there's hope for better days and good things to come.
There will come a time when Covid 19 will only be heard about in stories, a time when we will breathe again, a time when handshakes won't be seen as hazardous. A time. When that time comes the only thing we will muster is the strength to smile because we will have survived. πππππ
We shall say to ourselves in the words of the wonderful Charles Dickens in his book, A Tale of Two Cities, that:
It was the best of times
It was the worst of times
It was the age of wisdom
It was the age of foolishness
It was the epoch of belief
It was the epoch of incredulity
It was the season of light
It was the season of darkness
It was the spring of hope
It was the winter of despair
All we need to do now is to keep writing those stories. π π π
Happy Mother's Day to all present mothers out there. A blessed day to the mother of my handsome baby boy. It would really be hard to overcome the ricocheting challenges of growing up if it were not because of mother's love and care.
First thing in the morning
Your first activity in the morning has the power to either animate or darken the rest of the activities through out the entire day. Begin your day on a high note. Talk to God in silence; read a few encouraging lines from a good writer. Talk to yourself and about yourself in the right language. Do away with negative thoughts and remember that you were fearfully and wonderfully made by God.
My biggest fear in life is having nothing to read, running out of books. It feels like you are in Lockdown; no oxygen, no beer, no food, no party, no international travels...
Booklessness is lifelessness.
What is your biggest fear???
The Legacy of connections
George Washington Carver writes that all learning is understanding relationships.
Dr.James Comer avers that no significant learning can occur without a significant relationship.
Dr. Rita Pierson says that every child deserves a champion in their lives, an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be...

Indeed, things are not standing well, but we understand that it was not so easy to pull through in these hard and trying times.
To those who have not made it, there's always a chance to reflect and begin again.
J. K Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series says that it is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you have lived so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all, in which case you have failed by default. She continues to say that failure is not fun but when you emerge above your circumstances, stronger and wiser, you gain knowledge that you are a survivor.
Congratulations to those who managed to navigate the ricocheting challenges of the corona virus. You are winners!!πͺπͺ

Gravitate towards people around whom you don't feel any pressure to perform. You only need to be the best of yourself and they tolerate it. Build a Great Wall of optimism and cheerfulness around yourself because permission and unhappiness are highly infectious diseases. Mind your environment. βββββ
