ANNOUNCEMENT!
We've been receiving a lot of positive reviews ahead of our show tomorrow...and we just thought to make significant changes to the timetable we'd already set.
The support has been from lovers of electronic music and artists alike, and we thought it would not be such a bad idea to make additions in our lineup taking a rather odd approach.
The update means we're gonna begin significantly earlier than we'd planned; that being at 1000hrs (10am)
Allow us to present to you our timeslot for tomorrow...
Deejays and producers...please be aware that we have an early open slot for a B2B set. The slot will strictly be awarded to persons who make it to the event early on a first come, first serve basis.
So, if you'd like to have a B2B set with a total stranger, be on site early.
Haebe ho ka etsahala ebe we don't have any contenders for the open slot, ka lebaka la batho ba tla ba late, we'll simply skip it and carry on as the timeslot dictates.
Let's make it a memorable eventπππ
B2B Open Slot(Strictly Electronic Music) 1000 - 1140
LBK (Soulful House) 1140 - 1240

As much as Mike Webb is a necessity to the house music industry, production & DJ wise, it is pretty obvious that that "Ke yena ntate oa li house producer tsa lesotho" statement is a bit too much. But I'm not gonna compare me and him, neither any producer. Why? Because we running our own pace and we are unique. Mike is very good, no doubt about that. His spotlight is his own, and we applaud him as fellow artists.
I hate comparisons. & let this sink in : we all different in many aspects.

We did a little Q&A with RΓ«y Oblivious...
1. Q: What inspired you to create this EP?
A: D. General's sound on on Expression's ep is what really ignited the fire in july. The more simplistic yet effective approach to deep house production is what got to me.
2. Q: How long did it take you to create this EP?
A: The ep took about two months to fully complete.
3. Q: What was your creative process like?
A: It was super crazy.. there was 15 people in my house for an entire three weeks when i started. I'd basically start something in the morning and we'd all jam in the car going to some places. It was a cool interactive process where i actually let people in on my productions. Their opinions helped shape the some aspects of the sound and arrangement in some areas, especially on the No Body track on ep
4. Q: Are there any themes or ideas that you explored in this EP?
A: The theme was basically deep house music with a touch of tech hence, songs like Bionic would come into play. The idea was to approach the process as simple as we can while still maintaining the overall objective that is for the music to hit regardless.
5. Q: What is your favorite track from the EP?
A: Oblivion
6. Q: What message do you hope listeners take away from the EP?
A: I think three songs from oblivion are love songsππ The message is in the tracks..love is a good feeling, but it's equally a monster to the best us.
7. Q: Why name it 'Oblivion'?
A: Oblivion: Or are we just oblivious to the fact that things change, people change and the fact that we are having a real human experience of this life thing. We might as well just live in the moment and not be oblivious to certain things that affect us in all aspects of our lives. The Ep symbolises expression..which is something i hardly do through my music. It generally reflects my state of mind in that particular time frame
Yea neh, 2023 was not that bad really but I have got some great forthcoming Noetic music lined up soon. Remember that I previously released :
πΏ "Thatohatsi EP [MLR001]"

Techno DJ sir ππ
One of the finest Afro House/tech selectors
Ladies and gentlemen, Techno DJ
1. Q: Can you tell us about your journey into electronic music and what inspired you to become a DJ/producer?
A: My journey into electronic music started way back in 2016. It was a hard one in the beginning because it did not have deejaying equipment. I would borrow my neighbor's laptop and practice using Virtual DJ on weekends. I would also make mix tapes and submit them to a local Radio station in Botha-Bothe (Moeling FM). In 2017, I was fortunate enough to get a sponsor fom National Manpower Development Secretariat (NMDS) after being admitted at the National University of Lesotho. I then bought a laptop and i was also able to create page: Techno DJ which now has 1K plus followers. In 2018, I had a pleasure of meeting Mthibo number 1 from Radio Lesotho and I would give him my mix tapes and he would play them. I wanted more but because of the academics I had to shift most of my attention to school. I then stated Afro House Session podcast in 2019 as a way to communicate with my fans.
I grew up from a background where we listened to music a lot. I then fell in love with House. There was a lot of music on radio and variety to choice from. I also believe the DJs i used to listen to back then played a big part. There craft and their passion for music honestly blew me away. From that i wanted to contribute that is why i start to be a DJ.
2. Q: What sub-genre of electronic music do you specialize in, and why does it resonate with you?
A: I specialize in Afro House/ Afro Tech
The drums, the love and sound always brings me back Home Africa. It reminds me of my roots and that I am able. That is why i always go with it.
3. Q: Are there any particular artists that have influenced your deejaying?
A: Yes. A lot honestly but I will mention a few; Vinny Da Vinci, Black Coffee, Shimza, DJ Kent, Black Motion, DJ PH, David Guetta, Da Capo, Themba, Enoo Napa, Ceega wa Meropa and many more.
4. Q: What do you hope the audience will experience or feel during your set at our event?
A: Music of love and togetherness
5. Q::How do you see the role of local electronic music scenes in promoting and nurturing talent?
A: I think it's growing quite well and people are getting on the same page in as far as local music is concerned. The support is promising and a lot of young people are getting inspired by that and the production industry in Lesotho is also promising.
6. Q: What message or vibe do you aim to convey through your music, and what do you want the audience to take away from your performance at our event?
A: The message I would like to convey is that of love and oneness. I strongly believe we need that to grow. Takeway from my performance is that it is possible African child only if you belief.
