PAKELA LEAVES FOR THE WORLD OLYMPIC BOXING QUALIFIERS
Lesotho star boxer Arena Pakela is on his way to Busto Arsizio in Italy for the World Olympic Boxing Qualifiers which get underway tomorrow, February 29.
Pakela, 26, is looking to secure his ticket to the upcoming Olympic Games to be held in Paris, France later this year.
Lesotho has two athletes who already qualified for the Paris Olympic Games, namely Tebello Ramakongoana and Michelle Tau.
Ramakongoana qualified during the World Athletics Championships which were held in Budapest, Hungary in August last year, which Tau has just qualified at the African Qualification Tournament which was held in Dakar, Senegal three weeks ago.

Lesotho marathoner Mokulubete Makatisi came on position 8 in women's 42.2 kilometres at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England today.

Lesotho boxer, Qhobosheane Mohlerepele (in red corner), won his first fight at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birminghan, England yesterday.

According to reports from Birmingham, Mohlerepe beat Atmatzidis Odysseas of Cyprus 5-0 in the preliminaries.

Lesotho striker Katleho Makateng will take a flght from Moshoeshoe 1 International Airport to OR Tambo today at 4:pm on his way to join DStv rookies Richards Bay.

Accoding to LDF FC PRO, Tony Ntakha, Makateng signed a two-year contract with Richards Bay.
