This morning, ispace Europe held a press conference to unveil the latest updates on the micro rover "Tenacious," proudly developed and assembled here in Luxembourg. 🇱🇺

Having successfully completed its testing phase ✅, Tenacious will soon be sent to Japan for integration onto the Resilience lander. 🇯🇵 This marks a significant milestone in Luxembourg’s contributions to the space industry.

🌟 We were honored by the presence of several distinguished guests, including Lex Delles, Minister of the Economy Ministère de l'Économie, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Luxembourg Tadahiro Matsubara, as well as the Julien Lamamy, CEO of ispace Europe and Atsushi Saiki, Chief Revenue Officer of ispace Inc and Mathias Link.

We look forward to witnessing Tenacious as it paves the way for new discoveries and advancements in lunar exploration. 🌌✨

🇱🇺🚀 The Luxembourg Space Agency's economic mission to is all about strengthening collaboration! We kicked off with a visit to ispace, discussing the and exploring potential future partnerships. 🏢✨🤖

At JAXA’s Tansa X Space Exploration Innovation Hub Center, we delved into groundbreaking research on exploration technology and autonomous systems. 🌌🔬 Our meeting with JAXA(宇宙航空研究開発機構) President Dr. Hiroshi YAMAKAWA reaffirmed our shared vision and commitment to collaborative space exploration. 🤝🌍

A significant highlight is the signing of three key agreements:
1️⃣ A Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) between the Luxembourg Space Agency and JAXA to deepen our partnership in space exploration, supercomputing, and AI. 🌠💻🔭
2️⃣ A Letter of Intent between LuxProvide and JAXA to enhance cooperation in supercomputing, quantum computing, and AI, fostering knowledge exchange and joint solutions. 🔬🤖
3️⃣ A Government-level MoC aiming to facilitate further research, development, and utilization of space technologies by both nations. Ministère de l'Économie Gouvernement luxembourgeois

The program also included visits to the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Astroscale and the NIPPON Telegraph and Telephone Corporation Headquarters.

The Luxembourg Japan Business Forum further emphasized our joint efforts in satellite communication, secure communications, and the lunar economy. 📡🌙💼

Yesterday, His Royal Highness, the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and Lex Delles, Minister of the Economy, and the Japanese Ambassador Matsubara visited the office, joined by the Luxembourg Space Agency.

In the frame of ispace's M2 mission which will launch in winter 2024, we are proud to highlight that their rover, developed right here in Luxembourg, is a key milestone in lunar exploration and will be transferred from Luxembourg to Japan after its expected completion this summer to be installed on ispace RESILIENCE lander later this year.

A huge thank you to our esteemed guests and the ispace team for the great visit.

Flawless Photonics, which settled in Luxembourg in 2021, specializes in manufacturing optical glasses, fibres, and components in microgravity. Recently, the company produced nearly 12 kms of high-quality Space Fiber™ from ZBLAN aboard the International Space Station, becoming the first to achieve this feat in microgravity! 🌌🔬

The Luxembourg office, with 14 skilled "machine builders," collaborates with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration , ESA - European Space Agency, and others to ensure top-notch production. Led by Senior Director Engineering Hubert Moser, the team reflects proudly on their achievements. 👩‍🚀👨‍🔧👩‍🔬

We are thrilled to congratulate Raphaël Liégeois on his new mission assignment to the International Space Station (ISS)! 🎉 As a member of the ESA - European Space Agency astronaut class of 2022, Raphaël’s journey is a testament to his dedication and the robust training he received at the . This milestone, announced yesterday by ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher, marks a significant step forward for European space exploration.

We are immensely proud of Raphaël and eager to see the incredible contributions he will make during his long-duration mission planned for 2026.

We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to Belgium, with whom Luxembourg shares excellent relations. Together, we continue to foster strong international cooperation in space exploration. 🚀🌍

🚀🌌 We have the pleasure to announce that Luxembourg & Belgium will be co-hosting the UNOOSA Expert Meeting on 26 March as part of COPUOS Legal Subcommittee’s Working Group on Legal Aspects of Space Resource Activities. This prestigious gathering will run in parallel with the Space Resources Week and is organized in collaboration with the , Politique scientifique fédérale / Federaal Wetenschapsbeleid and the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) .

🛰️ The UNOOSA Expert Meeting serves as an opportunity to collect preliminary inputs for consideration at the international conference in Vienna in 2024. It's an honour for Luxembourg to provide the stage for such vital discussions.
