Book center Neptun in cooperation with the Latvian Academy of Culture created a new book: an anthology of translations of performing arts "Fields of Tension".
The anthology of stage art translations was created as a response to the need to study, understand and explain phenomena that have been observed in the world since the second half of the 20th century and in the 21st century, and have also entered and clearly influenced the modern Latvian theater. In the publication, theories, personal prejudices and suggestions for thinking about contemporary performing arts practices can be read together. The anthology includes works by such authors as Hans Thies Lehmann, Erika Fischer-Lichte, Tim Etchells, Milo Rau, Claire Bischoff, etc.
For Latvian theatre professionals and students, for everyone in Latvia who interested in new theatre art.
Presentation of the book will take place 30.08 in frame of Homo Novus festival in Riga.

Education and networking
August, 3d, Latvijas Teātra darbinieku savienība in collaboration with Valmieras vasaras teātra festivāls organised a seminar for theatre management, run by expert and art management coach Roger McCann from Great Britain. Representatives from almost all Latvian theatres were present, and also guests from Klaipeda and Tallinn joined us.
We thank everyone who took part in the event, which provided not only the opportunity to gain a new perspective on the routine work of a manager in the theater, but also allowed to build new connections with colleagues.

Matiss Budovskis worked a lot with Elmars Senkovs as an assistant for puppets, objects etc. Last SKATE 2023 his first performance "Song Festival", staged in Liepaja theatre, was presented with big success.
