Look no further – the 2024 Turbo Training by EYP Latvia is your opportunity. Join experienced EYP-ers Agnese Rekšņa (LV), Ērika Trifonova (LV), and Kristaps Brics (LV) as they lead hour-long workshops, offering invaluable insights into the roles of officials and sharing tips and tricks for success as a chairperson, organiser, or media team member. The best part? You can enhance your EYP journey and still have plenty of time to enjoy your Saturday! The Board of EYP Latvia is pleased to announce the call for the Head Organisers of the 36th and 37th Regional sessions, as well as the 20th National Conference of EYP Latvia!

We also encourage people who are not yet fully confident in their organising abilities to apply, as the Board is ready to work closely with the Head Organisers of the sessions!

Please join us in gratitude for the incredible support of EUROPE DIRECT Vidzeme in Valmiera 2023! 🙌🇪🇺 Their collaboration with us has aided in the advancement of our purpose and the empowerment of Latvian youth.

The EUROPE DIRECT Vidzeme centre is administered by the Vidzeme Planning Region and financed by the European Commission. Its main task is to provide the residents of Vidzeme with timely and objective information about the most important current events in Europe, as well as to stimulate discussions among the citizens about the future of Europe. They work on promoting local cooperation with other EU awareness-raising and information networks to ensure that citizens have easier access to information with better territorial coverage. One of EUROPE DIRECT Vidzeme’s main objectives is to raise citizens' awareness of the benefits of the EU in their daily lives, while highlighting its added value, through a better understanding of how the EU and its parliamentary democracy work and what matters fall within the EU's remit.

We have been able to give young people a platform to voice their opinion, get involved in significant problems and engage with the larger European society as a result of the help of EUROPE DIRECT Vidzeme. We are grateful to be associated with them because of their commitment to encouraging youth involvement and active citizenship.

We are thrilled and proud to share that Riga 2022 - the 96th International Session of the European Youth Parliament, organized by EYP Latvia, has been declared the Latvian national winner of the European Charlemagne Youth Prize 2023!

We are grateful for the recognition of our work in promoting and strengthening a shared European identity and empowering a young generation of active citizens!

Congratulations to European Youth Parliament (EYP) and the EYP National Committees in European Youth Parliament Finland - EYP Finland ry, European Youth Parliament Ireland, EYP LU - European Youth Parliament Luxembourg asbl., and European Youth Parliament Slovenia for their wins!

We are delighted to announce that the President of the 19th National Selection Conference of EYP Latvia is none other than the brilliant Emilios Charalambous (EYP CY)!

Here’s a message from him:

"I'm insanely grateful to be back in Latvia this summer and lead one of my favourite events of our network - the iconic Latvian National Session! With my time at our organisation slowly coming to an end, I'm looking to deliver an exceptional learning experience to all participants, and create long term memories with everyone involved, with a focus on the mission of our organisation; creating active citizens!"

The New Year is starting with some very exciting news! We are proud to announce the 19th National Session of EYP Latvia and Katrīna Kalniņa as the Head Organiser! Here's a message from her:

Dear friends,

I am excited and honoured to be Head-Organising LNC 2023, the 19th National Selection Conference of EYP Latvia! Working on the first fully in-person LNC in four years is a great responsibility, and I am looking forward to shaping an event that will help create memories and friendships, enable growth, and cultivate conversations that turn whispers into progress.

On November 12th, the 2nd GA Day of EYP Latvia took place in Riga Business School. It was a one-day event filled with conversations, debates and networking. Delegates worked in three different committees, got to know each other, learned from one another, enhanced their knowledge on topics significant for today’s Europe and presented their resolutions during the General Assembly. Our Media team also worked hard to seize the best moments and we are happy to share them with you, to provide an insight on how the day went!

We would also like to thank Riga Business School for welcoming us on their premises, as well as Čili Pizza Latvia for providing us with delicious pizzas and keeping us energised throughout the day!

We are happy to announce the 20th Board of EYP Latvia for the term 2022/23! ✨

The new Board is super excited to start working and make it a great term for us and for all of our lovely members.
