Libya Collaboration Network in Science and Technology

I had the privilege of participating in the groundbreaking workshop titled "Human Microbiota and Health: Bioinformatics Application and Modulatory Factors" hosted by the Faculty of Medicine at Galala University Attaka, Suez betwenn 12 - 14 November 2023. This three-day event brought together experts and scientists to explore the impact of human microbiota on health. Alongside my colleagues from Libyan International Medical University Benghazi, we introduced the North African Human Microbiome Consortium Project (NACHM) and its visionary approach to transforming health through innovative microbiome research. The project is set to commence in January 2024. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to this exciting field and express my appreciation to the organizers for this exceptional workshop. Stay tuned for updates on the progress of NACHM as we work towards advancing scientific knowledge and improving human health.

We're thrilled to announce the successful completion of a 3-day information session promoting the Horizon Europe Research & Innovation program, for the benefit of Libyan International Medical University LIMU Students & Staff. The session addresses all the guidelines, requirements and aspects for a deep and holistic understanding of how to register in the Funding & Tenders EU portal, how to search for a Horizon Europe research topic/call, and how to look and build a competitive Horizon Europe collaborative consortium and / partners. We have presented the key ingredients to success using our unique and proven methodology for developing and coordinating Horizon Europe collaborative projects. The event was organized to raise awareness of the program. The 3-day information session on the Horizon Europe R&I program was a great success!. Attendees were also able to network with other professionals and gain valuable knowledge from experts in the field. Here , thanks to Dr. Leila Keskes Sfax University Tunisia & Mss. Tunde Kallai European project evaluator , they both provided valuable insights into the Horizon Europe program and how it can be utilized to advance the Health sector .The event was a great opportunity for all attendees to enhance their professional development and stay up-to-date on the future of the Health sector research grants in Horizon Europe. Big thank you LIMU for inviting me to provide this information session at your university. It was an honor to share my knowledge with your staff and students. من 6 إلى 8 يونيو 2023 والتي خصصت للترويج والتعريف لبرنامج تمويل ودعم البحث العلمي والابتكار Horizon Europe ، وذلك لصالح طلاب وموظفي وأعضاء هيئة التدريس بالجامعة الليبية الدولية للعلوم الطبية بنغازيLIMU . تم التطرق في الجلسة إلى جميع المبادئ التوجيهية والمتطلبات والجوانب لفهم عميق وشامل حول كيفية التسجيل في بوابة التمويل والعطاءات الأوروبية، بالإضافة إلى كيفية البحث عن موضوع / دعوة بحث في برنامج Horizon Europe ، وكيفية البحث وبناء التحالف التعاوني التنافس في Horizon Europe و بناء الشركاء. قدمنا العناصر الرئيسية للنجاح باستخدام منهجيتنا الفريدة والمثبتة لتطوير وتنسيق مشاريع Horizon Europe التعاونية. تم تنظيم الحدث لزيادة الوعي بالبرنامج. كانت الجلسة المعلوماتية التي امتدت لمدة 3 أيام ناجحة بشكل كبير! كان الحضور قادرًا أيضًا على التواصل مع محترفين آخرين واكتساب معرفة قيمة من خبراء المجال. هنا، شكر خاص للدكتورة ليلى كسكاس رئيس اتحاد شمال أفريقيا للميكرو بيوم البشري" NACHM" و عضو هيئة التدريس بكلية الطب بجامعة صفاقس التونسية ، والآنسة توندا كالاي خبيرة تقييم مقترحات المشاريع البحثية والابتكار في المفوضية الأوروبية.

اليوم الثلاثاء 6 يونيو 2023، بدأنا بنجاح البرنامج التدريبي حول البرنامج الأوروبي هورايزون أوروبا لتمويل البحث العلمي والابتكار Horizon Europe EU R&I والذي شارك فيه طلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس و موظفي الجامعة الليبية الدولية للعلوم الطبية بنغازي LIMU . كان اليوم الأول من البرنامج ناجحًا بشكل كبير ، بحيث لا نستطيع الانتظار للاستمرار في اليومين التاليين من التدريب. نشكر جميع من شاركوا ونتطلع لرؤية الأفكار والمشاريع المذهلة التي ستخرج من هذا البرنامج.
تم تصميم البرنامج التدريبي وفق رؤية وتطلعات الإدارة الحكيمة للجامعة التي يقودها الأستاذ الدكتور محمد سعد رئيس الجامعة وبمعاونة نخبة من الخبراء المتميزون بالجامعة . وتم في هذا اليوم الأول تزويد المشاركين بالمعرفة والمهارات اللازمة للنجاح في المناظر البحثية التنافسية الحالية لبرنامج هورايزون أوروبا وهو أضخم برنامج لتمويل البحث العلمي والابتكار في العالم بميزانية تقدر بحوالي 100 مليار يورو للفترة من 2021 - 2027. مع يومين آخرين من التدريب في الأفق، نحن متحمسون لمتابعة ورؤية التقدم والأفكار التي ستنبثق من هذا البرنامج. تابعونا للحصول على تحديثات حول تقدمنا والمشاريع المثيرة التي ستنشأ من هذا البرنامج التدريبي.

Great news! Today Tuesday 6th of June 2023, we successfully kicked off the Horizon Europe EU program for research and innovation funding with participants from the Libyan International Medical University LIMU. Our first day was a huge success and we can't wait to continue with the next two days of training. Thank you to all who participated and we look forward to seeing the amazing ideas and projects that will come out of this program.
Our training program is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in today's competitive research landscape. With two more days of training to go, we are excited to see the progress and ideas that will come out of this program. يهدف هذا الاجتماع إلى تكثيف وتعزيز الجهود المشتركة لأجل بحث علمي وابتكار وطني يخدم قضايا التنمية المحلية والاستدامة في ليبيا. وتأتي هذه الخطوة في إطار السعي المستمر لتعزيز التعاون بين الجانبين في مختلف المجالات العلمية والتقنية، وتحقيق التنمية المستدامة في ليبيا. ونأمل أن يؤدي هذا الاجتماع إلى تحقيق نتائج إيجابية وتنفيذ مشاريع مشتركة في المستقبل القريب.

"I was honored this morning, Sunday 6/4/2023, to attend the joint meeting between the Libyan Authority for Scientific Research and the Economic and Social Development Council, where the joint cooperation document between the two sides was discussed and proposals were presented to implement joint projects. This meeting aims to intensify and enhance joint efforts towards scientific research and national innovation that serves local development and sustainability issues in Libya. This step comes within the framework of the continuous efforts to enhance cooperation between the two sides in various scientific and technological fields, and to achieve sustainable development in Libya. We hope that this meeting will lead to positive results and the implementation of joint projects in the near future. We are committed to strengthening cooperation and coordination between government, private institutions, and civil society in Libya, in order to achieve sustainable development and improve the livelihoods of citizens. We look forward to further productive meetings and cooperation in the future."

Excited to have participated in the first International Arab conference on Artificial Intelligence in Education that was organized by ALECSO in Tunisia on 23-24 May 2023. It was a great opportunity to learn and share ideas with experts in the field of AI and education. Looking forward to applying these insights in my work and contributing to the advancement of AI in education in my country Libya. This conference aims to address the different aspects of the use of AI in education and to initiate a constructive dialogue between experts, policy makers, education professionals and industry players. Big big thank you to the conference organizers for putting together such a wonderful event and providing a platform for us to connect and collaborate. Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated. Your hospitality can't be forgotten. I would like to extend a special thank you to Prof. Mohamed Jemni chairman scientific committee and Dr. Tareq Ben Yousef ALECSO Observatory chairman for their invaluable contributions and insights during the Conference. It is my pleasure, and an honor, to participate last sunday 14th of May 2023 in the Project (development of start-ups & spreading Entrepreneurship Culture) Status meeting between His excellency the chairman of the National Economic and Social Development Board (NESDB) and our team. Project Second phase was discussed in this meeting.

I am HONORED to be invited today Tuesday, 24th of January 2023, as a guest speaker to Faculty of Oil & Gas Engineering, University of Zawia, for a HORIZON EUROPE Research & Innovation event. On this occasion, I talked about "state of play Horizon Europe". The activity was organized in cooperation with the University's Research and Consultation Center. Teaching Staff, Faculty members & Researchers were successfully participated in this workshop. It was brought to my attention that there were Great Women Scientists who actively participated in the discussion session. Our main intention: enhancing participation of Libya's science & technology society in Horizon Europe research & Innovation projects. Thank you, Dr. Omar Sultan very much for inviting me to speak in this opening panel.

A joint workshop was conducted 21 Sep. 2022 between Libya's Observatory of Science Technology & Innovation Indicators LOSTII and Information & Documentation Centre, Ministry of Higher Education. I was honored to have the opportunity to gave a detailed presentation of the LOSTII's vision & mission and a general overview regarding the Science Technology & Innovation Indicators as an international measure, analysis and comparison tool to support the comprehensive and evaluation of R & D activities and innovation systems.
