Egret Cove Bayfront Cottage

Welcome to our page! We are your hosts, Chris & Julie. We live in Coos Bay, Oregon. Chris is a fish biologist who has worked in the fisheries research field for 30 years. Julie is a realtor and Criminology instructor at the local community college. Together, we live a purposeful, plant-based, eco-minded lifestyle ever aware of how our food choices and consumer habits affect the world around us. Proudly, our space reflects these tenents as we use only cruelty-free cleaning products and other eco-friendly items. Our life at home is full as we are dedicated parents to one daughter, three rescued German Shepherds, and four rescued kitties. We spend our downtime gardening, kayaking, and walking the dogs on the beach (& watching movies indoors when it rains!). We both love living the coastal life with all the beauty and recreation it has to offer.

Our host philosophy is to provide a space with all the comforts we enjoy while traveling and staying with other Airbnb families. Our home is intended to be a cozy nest from where you can fly to experience local activities or curl up and enjoy a quiet getaway indoors. We are directly on the estuary for ideal bird watching and walking distance from the crabbing dock, kayak put-in, and clam beds. Drive less than a mile to the Charleston Harbor boat basin and Marine Life Center, five minutes to Bastendorff Beach, and less than 15 minutes to our three state parks: Sunset Bay, Cape Arago, & Shore Acres. Come stay with us and experience the beauty, adventure, and peacefulness that defines our bay area.
