Been a busy morning, half marathon and both kids football. Smithy's ready for a hot soak ๐

Nice to get out with the boys this morning and catch that sunrise together.
That completes 3 weeks training for next Saturday's fell race and put me on track nicely.
Leicestershire 3 peaks 16 miler 2600ft elevation.

Mam Tor, Hollings Cross and Loose Hill circular fell run.
7 miles
1778ft elevation
My intention today was to do 2 laps and get a good 13 miles in, decided to call it at 1 lap with the icy conditions rather than risk injury.
Felt good though, nice to get more elevation in the legs and more experience ahead of next weeks 16 mile Leicestershire 3 peaks race.
13 miles will get done Sunday so im on track for the distance. Then we're good to go.

This woman never ceases to amaze me, absolutely amazing.
Like a lot of people Claire was uncertain it would work after trying all other fad diets and slimming groups.
We're now 38 weeks in 29kg down (4.5st) and still going strong so there's no yo-yo diet happening here.
Now started running and going from strength to strength.
Being T1D this has been life changing for Claire and like everyone who joins we make health a priority by focusing on whole foods and nutrition.
I'm currently working with several type 1 diabetics that are all seeing massive improvements throughout.
Blood sugar plays a major roll in everyone's health and longevity and the fact that it's helping these clients in such a way, goes to show how it can help everyone in general.
The key factor is simple, make whole foods a staple part of your diet and cut back on sugar and processed foods.
Then with calories and macros set accordingly, that's what makes the difference.

Absolutely mental. I just want to thank everyone of you that's joined and supports me on this journey.
I'm genuinely grateful to be in a position to help so many people.
I'm just me, being me, saying what I think and living life.
I believe I resonate with a lot of people because I'm genuine and keep it real, I don't try to be something or someone I'm not.
I say it how it is, I might swear a bit ๐ not everyone agrees with or likes everything I say but I think most do. And everything I do say and post is an attempt to help someone in someway.

We are what we eat and everything starts in the gut.
A healthy gut is essential for overall health and well-being. Your gut helps regulate digestion, boosts immunity, and even affects mental health due to the gut and brain connection. Because of this, taking care of your gut is vital. One way to do that is by being mindful of what you eat.
Ultra processed foods, refined sugar, artificial sweeteners, gluten, alcohol can all have a negative impact on gut health.
Each individual is unique and what benefits or harms one might be different for another.
But simply put, when we cut back on processed foods and prioritise whole foods giving our body what it needs.
That can only ever have a positive impact on gut health and overall health and well-being.
What an end and start to the year for our membership client Laura ๐ฅ
After trying various diets and doing things herself, she reached out for help.

So here we are 13st 4lb and a fresh start after a shocking end to the year both mentally and physically.
After that 2nd marathon in November my head fell off, I'd put that much pressure on myself to get that sub 3:30 I hated the whole process.
When it was done I stopped running completely, started drinking, my training was half hearted and got myself in a bit of a rut. I was stressed and worn out mentally and it had a negative impact on everything.
I've learned how much I need to be running because I've missed it more for the mental than physical benefits, I've also learned that it's so important we enjoy the process because if the goal has such a negative impact is the goal even worth it.
We need to apply pressure to make progress, but finding the balance between applying pressure and enjoying the process is the sweet spot.
We live, we learn and keep growing.
Now the goal is to get back in shape and enjoy running again I haven't tracked my calories or macros since last June I never bother unless chasing a particular body goal. So we're back tracking everything.

1yr ago today I was surprised with my my companion for a Christmas present a man's best friend.
Here's to another year of clocking up miles together.

2023 My 1st year of entering running events. I've learned a lot along the way, not just about running but myself both mentally and physically.

Running for me personally is more mentally rewarding than anything else, it's like a form of meditation out in nature and allowing me to switch off and be present.
I have a few running goals set for next year.
1. Sub 1:30 half marathon
2. Enter my 1st fell running event
3. Complete my 1st ultra marathon
We had a few clients commit to a photo shoot the back end of this year ๐ฅ
All 3 of these have been a member for over a year now and an absolute pleasure to work with. Always pushing themselves, setting goals and as consistent as anyone.
This shoot was just another tick in a box, another goal smashed and something to be proud of.
Looking forward to moving into the new year with them and seeing what's next ๐ค๐ค
We'll be booking more shoots in 2024 and helping clients prepare accordingly.
