Sino ang mas mayaman?

I have 2 friends. 1 is naka-graduate or professional and yong isa naman ay undergraduate.

Si professional, dahil maganda ang title, maganda rin ang trabaho at income and of course marangya ang lifestyle, yong parang mayaman talaga.

PERO... si professional walang savings and investments, walang insurance and healthcare, baon sa utang at laging kinakapos dahil di marunong mag budget. Nag-ooverspend sa mga bagay na hindi naman talaga kailangan.

While si undergrad dahil di nakapag tapos ng pag-aaral, napilitang mag-abroad para sa kanyang pamilya kahit hindi masyadong maganda ang trabaho and hindi malaki ang income. "No choice eh" sabi nga nya.

BUT, ito ang good news... si undergrad nag-invest ng time sa financial education kaya marunong na syang mag-budget at simple lang ang lifestyle. Nakaka-save and invest na sya buwan-buwan. Meron din syang life insurance and healthcare dahil ayaw nyang maging pabigat sa pamilya pagdating ng araw.

Ngayon balikan natin ang tanong, sino sa kanilang dalawa ang tunay na mayaman?

Base sa lifestyle and financial strategy ng dalawa kong kaibigan, kung ipagpapatuloy nila...

10-20 years from today mas dadami pa ang utang ni professional at probably wala paring savings & investments. At mag-reretire na broke.

10-20 years from today si undergrad ay Milyonaryo na at napaka secure pa ang future kahit na maagang mag-retire. Magiging tunay na mayaman.

It means, hindi enough ang title, o pinag-aralan, o ang trabaho para maging financially successful. Alam ko dahil isa din ako sa mga professionals na dating nabaon sa utang, walang savings at laging kinakapos.

Mas advantage parin kapag professional ka, bonus yan syempre. Pero mas yayaman parin yong taong di man nakapag tapos ng pag-aaral pero financially educated naman. Dahil mas disiplinado sila sa pera.

Regardless kung ano man ang trabaho mo ngayon, magkano man ang iyong income, professional or not, ito po ang reality - kailangan mo ng Financial Education para yumaman at umasenso.
