DO NOT be fooled that The Boathouse restaurant in Disney Springs is just for seafood lovers. Their "land" options are savory, delicious and don't feel like a second thought. While there is plenty on the menu to choose from, you can't go wrong with the wedge salad, filet mignon sliders, mac and cheese, and truffles fries. 🍔🍟

OK foodies...there are plenty of things on the Disneyland must-eat list, but at the top is the Monte Cristo Sandwich from Café Orléans. This battered and fried sandwich comes in two versions: one with turkey, ham and Swiss cheese and one with three cheeses. Both are paired with seasoned french fries or salad and seasonal preserves for dipping.

I wouldn't mind trying either, but I think I would try the three cheese version first! 😋 🧀🥪

If you weren't wild about wildlife before a stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge, you will be after. This resort is actually two-in-one; Jambo House and Kidani Village-the DVC resort (though anyone can book a room here). Both areas offer stunning views, animal encounters and will really have you wishing you planned a full resort day into your vacation. It's just a 10-15 minute walk along a serene path or a short shuttle ride between the two.

Happy National Walter Day to our favorite! Hear me when I say, you MUST go into the Walt Disney Presents exhibit in Hollywood Studios. This mini museum will have you grinning from "ear to ear" as you walk through and learn how the life and experiences of Walt Disney led you to where you are standing.

This is one of my favorite exhibits! Firstly, it's wonderful on a hot day. 🥵 Secondly, I love all the dioramas and history packed in here!

My fellow Walt Disney groupies, who has taken the Disney Historian test here and gotten their official certificate? Yep, that's a thing!

Because sometimes we need to see it for it to sink in. Just look at the prices of some common beverages at Main Street Bakery. The cost of drinks is pretty much the same anywhere at the Walt Disney World Resort. SAVE MONEY and get some groceries delivered to your Walt Disney World or Universal Resort hotel or if you are driving, go shopping - there are stores nearby!

We drive when we head down to Disney, so I'm able to pack water, snacks, and other essentials and save some $$$. My husband's personal favorite is when I make us bagel bombs for the road! 😋

Who gets essentials delivered to their room or goes shopping and stocks the hotel fridge?

Not all kiddos (or adults) are ready for the thrills and chills of the Jurassic Park River Adventure or VelociCoaster, but may really enjoy the Jurassic Park Discovery Center. I don't want to spoil anything, but among all the gems found here, you can catch a dinosaur egg hatching!

I absolutely LOVE Disney's heart for conservation, but I am a straw girl. The move to paper straws was tough for me, and some places (Animal Kingdom Lodge) are recommending you skip the straw altogether. 🥤

What is a distinctive gift you found in WDW that you still treasure?

If you’ve ever taken a Disney vacation and love characters, chances are you have an autograph book somewhere around your house. There’s something so sweet about seeing the personalities of the characters shine through in their signatures!

Disney sells regular autograph books on property and an option with photo pages. You can order some personalized ones before leaving home from places like Etsy or even make your own! Characters will sign so many items: backpacks, picture frame mattes, pillowcases... so many fun ways to commemorate a trip! 🖊️

We are still eagerly awaiting breakfast to return, but for now, Akershus is back for an all-you-care-to-enjoy dinner with a rotation of some of your most beloved princesses. Cinderella, Belle, Jasmine, Ariel, and Snow White have all been known to appear at this experience. This is one of the more authentic character dining meals at WDW certainly making you feel like you are in the heart of Norway. 🇳🇴
