“The thing with me is I’m daring. Even if I’m scared, I will try anything once.

But I wasn’t always like this. I remember during COVD, I was on the highway driving to Abu Dhabi and the traffic was moving very fast, but all of sudden, everything stopped and I saw this car get into a huge accident in the lane right next to me. I felt like I saw it all happen in slow motion.

That’s when I realized, we do not have control over anything, not even the next moment. Tomorrow isn’t promised, so I do my best with what I have today and leave the rest up to God.

This perspective fuels my dedication at work every day. One of my proudest moments is when a guest falls asleep while I’m driving, because to me it symbolizes the trust they are placing in me, and I take pride in creating an environment of comfort and safety. To me, it’s not just a job; it’s a privilege.”

We were honored to be the official All-Electric Chauffeur Partner at the Future Sustainability Forum held in Dubai last week. This prestigious event brought together global leaders and innovators, providing a platform for them to share their visions and strategies for expediting climate action.

“I came really close to being a part of the Bollywood movie "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi" with Shah Rukh Khan!

This happened a long time ago when I was just starting my career as a chauffeur in India. It was my day off, but my friend and I were on standby duty. My supervisor told me to be ready in the morning, and I could have the afternoon off. So, I went to work and left at 12 pm, not thinking much of it.

Little did I know, just one hour after I left, Shah Rukh Khan required a chauffeur, so my friend got to drive him from that afternoon for the entire 26 days of filming.
He even lived on the film set! I couldn't believe I missed this incredible opportunity by just one hour. I remember thinking maybe I was just really unlucky.

But if I look at where I am now, I believe everything happened the way it was meant to.

I have this belief that you get out of a situation what you put into it. And right now, I feel like I'm getting more out of working with Blacklane than I ever expected.”
