According to the book โ€œStay Woke: A Meditation Guide for The Rest of Us.โ€ by Justin Michael Williams "...the breath is inextricably connected to the nervous system. Deep exhales activate the vagus nerve, which calms the heart, enables digestion, strengthens the immune system, and deepens our experience of compassion."

How are you celebrating yourself today? Drop a line in the comments and let us know.

๐ŸŒ€๐ŸŒป
What does it mean to celebrate yourself and why is it necessary? Celebrating yourself is taking a moment to practice gratitude. To awaken to another day in life is a blessing. Celebrate that. Celebrate how you show up in this world each day.

How do you express gratitude?

๐Ÿ’™ Clear your space and your mind, sit down and meditate.

๐Ÿ’›Write yourself a letter or write down the things you love about yourself.

๐Ÿ’™Create a date night for yourself. Leave no stone unturned. Donโ€™t forget the flowers and a playlist.

๐Ÿ’›Allow yourself to rest. Put the phone down after you finish reading this post. ๐Ÿ˜Š

๐Ÿ’™Go outside and get some fresh air. If the Sun is shining in your area today, soak it up.

๐Ÿ’›Take a bubble bath with rose petals, bath salts and essential oils. Light the candles, turn off the lights and put on your favorite playlist. When youโ€™re done, massage your favorite scented oils into your skin.

๐Ÿ’™Give yourself an at home spa treatment.

Whatever you decide to do, stay safe out there.

Sending love and light to you. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿ’™
