The best Ceos I have seen in the coaching industry all knew how to coach, do sales and marketing
Now they have help like I do, you don't have to do everything alone
But like most of life, there are stages in a business than need to be deal with
Learn how to do it yourself and make it work
Then, have fun hiring and delegating
The best way to grow isn't making it more complex
It's all about trimming down everything so it's stupidely simple
OVER HALF A FU***NG MILLION IN JUNE!!!
No launch, 100% ever-mother-green
I was shaking, writing this from one of my favorite ho**ah bars
with a Mojito in my hands
I wrote this text for you while thinking: f**k you June, we broke your 2 legs and your bu****it summer excuses
(The last two Junes have been s**tty months for us)
I thought it was a good time to celebrate and anchor this beautiful and long awaited win!
I was thinking about celebrating while listening to lord of the rings, but My wife told me you're an idiot go celebrate for real
It's been almost a year since I set myself to make 500k monthly and to be honest...
This
Feels good
We got close a few times but it didn't feel right, there was always something missing
New process, breaking process, ads that don't scale
(A business what)
What could be better than reaching it in a month that seems to be against the grain?
608 400$ to be exact
I want to give you some lessons that helped us reach this
The wonderful team I have, and myself
So I'm going straight to the point:
1. The bigger your business , the bigger your problems
Early June stripe blocked my funds, no more deposits.
215,000 that I wasn't receiving because they had to "verify" my business
In the meantime, the expenses are going out without even knowing if I'll get them back
And I had just put over $30,000 into our team retreat in Miami
It's a good thing my cash flow is solid and I'm brilliant, because this is the kind of thing that can easily break a business
-> no cash to invest in leads
-> no cash to pay your team
I stayed solid, I honored everyone
And most importantly, I didn't transfer that fear to anyone
Not our customers
Nor our sales
Nor my team
So the nugget: lead by example
PS: I received the funds and they apologized, so we still like stripe
2. It's not over until it's over
Our start of the month was a mess, we had few new customers versus our standards
And even if we didn't want to, the word "crappy June" rubbed in our ears a few times
But we remembered that the month has 30 days, 4 weeks and it's not over until it's over
I also noticed a pattern that seems to occur often
1 extraordinary week
2 normal weeks
1 week of s**t
So we lived the week of s**t at the beginning of the month, which left room for the 3 others that were going to be good!
Who knows, if we had forgotten this concept we would have surely dragged a s**tty state of mind on the other weeks and thus, created the unsatisfactory result
3. The longer you have a business, the easier it is
Let me get right to the point here: we have a credibility after 3 years that few people have and that we did NOT have in our first months.
The more you prove that you are solid and here to stay, the more you create a track record. The more people trust you, the more results you have to share
This month we started a lot of people who didn't know us for a while, because we have a million proofs that we know what we are doing.
Want to do the same?
Bring big results to your clients.
Forget about refunds
Ungrateful customers
And focus on the ones that are
Best
Marketing
Ever
No's turn into yes's over time
4. Last point, team team team
Most coaching businesses change teams every quarter because they are not able to build a leadership culture.
They have employees who charge 0.15 minutes extra and put in the least effort
With us, it's completely the opposite
We have great team members, most of them have been with us for 12 months or more
People today have confidence in our movement, not just in "Joel".
This allows me to focus on growing the mission
(English market)
And to make a RECORD month in French.
So I want to end on this:
Building a team is amazing and we are really good at it, creating LEADERS who support the mission
(2am and still several european members were up and running to finish the month)
I hope this post has been of value to you, as I write it with great emotion and joy
Thank you for following us, thank you for trusting us
We are just beginning
Joel
And all the KLT team
Lets grow!
