UK or Canada?
While talking to a mentee few weeks ago, he was considering studying in the UK as opposed to Canada. i presented some few facts to him and he saw why he needs to change his mind.
These are just few of the things i told him;
The education system is better overall in Canada compared to the UK.
Canada has a lot of land, therefore a higher capacity to hold people. The geographic area can easily support 100 million to 150 million people. UK doesn’t have a lot of land.
For Property, Prices are much cheaper in Canada overall compared to the UK plus houses are bigger but a lot of it is just wood and at times, the work in these houses can be very shoddy.
The education system is a bit better overall in Canada compared to the UK. The UK seems to be very theoretical based and not very practical.
Canada is more immigration friendly than the UK.
You can go on to become a permanent resident and even a citizen in Canada, it is not that cheap in the UK.
Canada is quite progressive, maybe more than the UK, people are very educated.
To immigrate to Canada, you can do this either by express entry, provincial nomination, Canadian experience class, or using study route

This should tell you it will keep climbing.
Express Entry is becoming tougher by the day.
To get a provincial nomination, you either get a job offer, have a blood relation here or you would wait endlessly, many are in this position for over a year now.
To belong to the Canadian Experience Class, you must have had your education in Canada, so if you did not, well, there is no way you can qualify for this class.
The last being the study route is where you can explore easily but there is a major issue for many, they can't afford the fees.
Could this signal the end of the road? No.
There is a way out; getting a scholarship to study in Canada.
Now, there are several turns with Canadian scholarship, you need to be shown what works and what doesn't. Your greatest undoing would be to consult google for this.
You will do well if you listen to man who relocated to Canada using this route.

Question from a reader;
Sir, i am 43 years old and i am interested in immigrating to Canada, i am thinking of going through the express entry route, what would you advice?
Response;
For those who are already 40years old and above, immigrating through the express entry pathway would be a bit difficult, this is due to the high cut-off marks since the year has began and there is no slight chance that it is coming down, even if you a PhD holder with high marks in your IELTS, you are likely not get close to the cut-off mark.
i would rather advice you consider the Provincial programs and maybe the study route.
