I just want to wish all the Mothers and Mother-figures out there a happy Mother's Day!
Life would be cold, lonely, and lifeless without all the love and nurture you bring. People take and take and take from you and you just keep on pouring out without acknowledging the sacrifices you make to be everything to everybody.
I pray that you allowed yourself to experience just how significant and irreplaceable you are today (and that the appreciation and special treatment isn't a one day thing).
Special shout out to my Queen and how lost we would be without her. I dont know how she does it all, and she deserves at least a Month to be celebrated.
I'm going to try to do an action of appreciation every day this month so I'm not just talking a good game for Mothers Day!

This is the post I needed this week. I hope it is the same for you. ❤️
I have really struggled to slow down and spend time with Jesus since the holiday last week. Specifically spending time with Him not talking about business and just enjoying our relationship.🫂
This morning I decided that I just have to do it before the things I'm trying to catch up on from last week jump on my back again.
Before, I would have seen this week as a bible reading problem and felt really guilty about it, or would think about (not actually do it lol) praying for one-two hours and listening to the right worship songs hoping at the end I would feel connected to God again and sense His presence. If only I knew then what I know now. 🥹
I can connect with Jesus in two minutes by being still and letting Him speak to me about our relationship and skip the guilt and shame cycle that I learned at church growing up. THAT gives me peace that surpasses my understanding. I don't need to work to have Him close to me. I don't need to say the right words to feel His presence. And I don't need to feel bad that it's been multiple days since we've connected. Those are bad beliefs I learned from Christians. Like the Father of the prodigal son, He is overjoyed when we return to Him and invites us to sit at His table. 😊
Will you accept Jesus' enthusiastic invitation to sit at His table and talk with Him today?
Today I asked Him, "Jesus, even after I've missed time with you, what do you love about when I come back?
30 seconds later, this is what I heard:
"That we can pick up right where we left off without all the guilt. I always celebrate connecting with you. " 🙌🏽🙌🏽

What's your gift in this season?
No matter who caused the challenges that have come up in this season for you, God wants to use them to grow and change you. Are you seeing them as a sheer gift, or are you trying to get out of them prematurely? James 1:4 says, LET IT DO IT'S WORK so you become mature and well developed, not deficient in any way. I used to have a really tough time staying in my tests and challenges without secretly wishing or boldly praying that God would get me out of it! I didn't know how to handle staying in it and letting it do it's work.
Verse 5 says, if you don't know what you're doing, pray to the Father who LOVES to help! Here are some questions that we ALL can ask God this week as we take our next step toward maturity:
Father, what's a test or challenge in my life that I should see as a gift?
Papa, what are you trying to work on in me with this challenge?
Papa, what is your attitude toward me when I ask for your help?
Just ask one of these questions a day, take a minute to be still and listen, and write down what you hear.
