Happy National Eat Your Vegetables Day! May your day be full of abundant, fresh vegetables... and don't forget to wash your produce prior to consumption!

Just a friendly reminder to monitor your pet’s presence near the produce field and wash your hands after petting and playing if you plan to handle produce!

Happy World Food Safety Day! This is your reminder to wash your produce before consumption- it is the easiest step an individual can take towards produce safety! Hold your produce under running water to remove dirt and bacteria from the produce, and use a veggie brush to scrub firm produce.

Happy First Day of June! It sure is starting to feel like summer. Make sure to keep cool and stay hydrated... oh and keep your gardens hydrated too! ☀️💧

It's tomato time! Did you know that tomatoes are in season from May until October? How do you like to eat your tomatoes?

Join us for a remote Produce Safety Alliance Grower Training Session on June 16th. This training is FREE to all participants thanks to the Indiana Farmers Market Community of Practice. Happy Valentine's Day! Did you know that strawberries and roses are from the same family, Rosacea? I can't think of a more perfect Valentine's Day combo!

You may notice things are looking a bit different around here! That’s because they are. We have undergone a name, logo and website change in hopes that our branding would be a bit more consistent with the work we do at the Indiana State Department of Agriculture to promote produce safety. Besides looks, not much else has changed! We will still be working with the Indiana State Department of Health and Purdue Extension to help educate Indiana Produce Growers on the FSMA Produce Safety Rule.
