We are continuing to raise funds for the school to support improving the classroom readings corners, refurbishing the outdoor areas, and a number of other important projects the school struggles with. 💸

Yesterday we supported the school in sprucing up the reception garden ready for the summer.

We laid some new flag stones in the children's sheltered house, removed some old chicken wire around the fence, created a lovely little nature garden, refilled the sandpit, and gave every where a sweep and clean to make it nice again for the summer term.

I’m Charlotte and this is my little girl Phoebe ❤️ I’ve decided not to go back to paid work after maternity leave and have started my own bookshop Charlotte’s Little World of Books so that I can stay at home with Phoebe. I was a primary teacher for over 7 years and also worked for the NHS 💙 I love seeing children enjoy reading and I’m hoping to get as many free books to children as possible!

The Reception Team and PTFA are going to be revamping the Children's Garden on Monday 10th of June, 10-12 or 1-3pm (weather permitting!). 👨‍🌾

We would greatly appreciate if anyone could give up an hour or two to help us with this. These are a couple of the jobs we are hoping to get done:
• Painting the fence (bring your own paintbrush)
• Paint our 'hut'
• Painting 'The mushroom'
• Weeding different areas of the garden
• Strip chicken wire off the fencing (if you have wire cutters then that would be a bonus!)
• Clean and tidy the mud kitchen
• If anyone is a hardy carpenter or is able to revamp woodwork let us know, we have a beautiful large wooden story telling chair that is in desperate need of some TLC

Alternatively if you feel you are able to donate any of the following items, these will be used to replenish/enhance provision in the outside area.
• Buckets (large and small)
• Metal spades
• Metal gardening equipment (spades, rakes, trowels)
• Small/mini wheels barrows
• Watering cans
• Wooden spoons
• Anything else you feel happy to donate for a garden

Cold drinks and biscuits will be provided!

The PTFA are looking to help out with revamping the Reception Garden in time for the summer. 🛝☀️

Currently it is looking a bit sad and sorry for itself and is in need of a bit of TLC. The Reception Team are organising a Revamp Party and would like to invite anyone with bit of spare time to come along and help out. 🤝

The plan is to do this over 2 days when the weather improves. If you can spare some time to help us make it a nice place for the children to play in again that would be super appreciated. 👷👷‍♀️

Any donations are very welcome as well - outdoor paint, watering cans, small spades/forks, sand, soil and anything else you think would be good. 🎨💦🚜

Drinks and biscuits will be provided in return for you volunteering your time. 🍪☕️

Hope you all have enjoyed your easter eggs and have a lovely break from school!

Thanks to all the children who came to the two Popcorn Club's last week. 🍿
Everyone had a fantastic time and we raised £630 for the school. 💷🤩

We also had a really successful 4 days supporting the Book Fair. 📚
Congratulations to Lauren Jowels who won our Mother's Day Hamper. 🎉
Altogether we raised a further £121 for the school. 💷🤩

Finally another big thanks to the parents and school staff who supported us in running these events; we couldn't have done it without you. 🙌

We'll be supporting the Book Fair today, tomorrow, and Monday and Tuesday next week. 📚

Come and join us in the junior hall after school. Along with providing refreshments we'll also be running a Raffle to win a lovely Mother’s Day Hamper. ☕️🍪🎟️

We'll pick a winner on Friday so a lucky mum can have something special to look forward to on Mothering Sunday ❤️

On Thursday 7th March we will take part in World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite characters - the staff are already working on their costumes! The children can use their imagination with this and recycle clothes to create a costume that represents their favourite character.

The PTFA will be at the Book fayre next week, selling Teas, Coffees, Snacks etc we also have a selection of second hand books for sale.

Please bring cash, come enjoy a drink and browse the Books with your children ☕️🫖📚

The Book Fair will be open in school from Thursday 7th March to Tuesday 12th March for you to buy some new books to enjoy together. Please visit the book fair in the Junior hall at 3.15 - 3.45 pm on these days. All books need to be bought with cash please. The money raised by the school from the sales will be used to update our current book selection across all year groups. You can use your £1 book voucher with your purchase.

Tickets are selling fast for the Popcorn Club 🍿

You will be able to buy tickets from the school office up until Friday 29th at 15:30. 🎟️
