Sometimes I get to hang out with my work friends in-person instead of over a live shot signal. This team is simply the coolest and as fun/friendly behind-the-scenes as they are on TV 😎💓📺
Huge thanks to Irik Edens and his lovely family for sharing their Bass Lake bear break-in story with KCRA 3! Relived y’all are safe and wishing you best of luck in the search for a new van 🤗🐻
'Holy cow! There's a bear in our car!’: Folsom family's minivan totaled during wildlife run-in An unwelcome visitor crashed the anniversary celebration of a Folsom couple and their family Tuesday, leaving their minivan wrecked beyond repair.
One week to the day since Sacramento legend KCRA Mark Finan “left the building.” Such an honor to have worked alongside him on the KCRA 3 team, if only for four of his 33 years at the station. This exceptional meteorologist, with an unparalleled dedication to providing our community with the most accurate information possible, made us all better reporters — leading by example. Feeling the void Mark’s departure leaves, but thrilled for someone, so deserving of a fulfilling retirement, to have finally reached that chapter
😌💛

Friends, BELIEVE the Slice House Folsom hype! We tried the Detroit style Motorhead pizza, and it did not disappoint! First thing I did after lunch was text pizza pics to KCRA Teo Torres who recommended the place after he did a KCRA 3 segment with Tony Gemignani (🔗link in comments) Can’t wait to go back to try the New York style pie.
Dare ya not to drool while watching this fun Friday story we covered on KCRA 3. Thanks to Hog Wild BBQ for showing us how the brisket (and the ribs and the pulled pork and the potatoes and the gravy and the slaw and the corn muffins and the brioche buns) are made 😋🍖🥩🔥

In today’s edition of “tell me you’re a grown-up, without telling me you’re a grown-up”: I am giddy with excitement about the new waste and recycling bins we received from the City of Folsom today! Our old ones were breaking apart after 8+ years. These babies are beauties!

My favorite kind of story right here!
Worked with the fantastic bald eagle interpretive program docents at Friends of Lakes Folsom and Natoma (FOLFAN) on “eaglet watch” over Lake Natoma. We learned all about the eagle education docents share with the community — right near the nesting tree, and now, we’re seeing the fuzzy little eaglet heads popping up on their live stream eagle nest cam. Link to nest cam in the comments. Our KCRA 3 story is here ➡️ https://kcra.com/article/lake-natoma-eagle-nest-cam-hatching/60344644
Eeeeeeeek!!! Bug in news van is MUCH LARGER than it appears. This murder hornet had an 8ft. wingspan (or so it seemed). I’m going to hide. Happy Monday 🚫🙅🏻♀️😱🏃🏻♀️

Feeling cute, might delete later. 🦝
Our resident raccoon, Reggie, was seen happily cleaning his face after some tasty treats. We think he looks pretty darn cute!
My sister! and I have both been stopped while out-and-about and people have mistaken us for the other. My own child saw Lee Anne on TV and said, “Is that mom?” 😁 Honored to call this incredible woman a colleague and dear friend 💓💓💓

At 1:13pm, the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call from an 18-year-old male who reported that he and his 21-year-old brother had been attacked by a mountain lion in a remote area of Darling Ridge Rd. and Skid Rd., Georgetown, CA. The reporting party suffered traumatic injuries to his face and was separated from his brother during the attack. At 1:34pm EDSO Deputies and Paramedics arrived in the area, located the reporting party and began to administer aid to him. Additional Deputies began the search for the unaccounted brother. At around 1:46pm Deputies observed a crouched mountain lion next to a subject on the ground. The mountain lion was between the Deputies and the subject on the ground. Deputies discharged their fi****ms scaring the mountain lion off so they could render aid. Unfortunately, the male subject was deceased.
Wardens and Trappers from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife along with the El Dorado County Trapper responded to the area, located the mountain lion, and dispatched it.
More information will be released as it becomes available.
