Summit’s 2023-2024 Leadership Team has been hard at work this week preparing for the new school year!

Our Back to School Bash is on Saturday, July 29 and our first day of school is Monday, July 31. Have a safe and enjoyable summer, Huskies!

Free summer meals are no hassle! No application, no sign ups- just grab and go. We’re providing free meals for all kids 18 and under every Monday at Aspire Summit Charter Academy between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. This week, we’ll be serving some tasty meals including cheeseburgers and chicken enchiladas! Dear Summit Families,

As of January 1, 2021 SCA, as well as all Central Valley sites within Aspire Public Schools, will be participating in the Seamless Summer Option, SSO. All Central Valley Sites will be operating under this program for the remainder of the 20-21 school year.

This means all Aspire students in the CV as well as children 18 years of age and younger in our surrounding community will be able to pick up meals for free.
**********************************************************************

Our families with children at multiple school sites, Aspire and non-Aspire, can pick up meals for their children at one site. This includes non-school aged children as well. Also, due to the COVID-19 restrictions children do not need to be present at pickup. Nothing on your end needs to be done other than attending the meal distribution.

As of now our current distribution date and times will not be changing. The current distribution is every Tuesday from 1-4. If changes need to be made we will inform our families as soon as possible.

Please note that any meals that were purchased prior to January 1, 2021 will still be charged and families are responsible for all bills.

We are excited to be participating in this program. It is important that we ensure that all children have access to healthy nutritious meals and not one child will go hungry. If you have any questions regarding this program please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Hip, hip hooray! On Friday, we had a rockin’ day! Our Huskies are 50 days smarter! We kicked off Red Ribbon Week by celebrating 1950’s style.

Red Ribbon Week is a week-long celebration that promotes making safe and healthy choices. We are encouraging all students to make a personal commitment to stay drug-free. This year's theme is Be Happy. Be Brave. Be Drug Free. This is our wish for every single one of our Huskies!

Summit Huskies are so lucky to have such a cool Principal! Leopoldo chose for Mr. D to complete the Ice Bucket challenge. Enjoy the pictures!

The Huskies were so motivated that they already hit the 1000 Husky Point goal AGAIN! This time, Logan's name was selected. Sign into your Zoom class bright and early tomorrow morning by 9 am to watch what Logan has selected for Mr. D to do!

THEY ARE HERE!!! My excitement is through the roof!!! Can't wait for you all to see them in person tomorrow!! Pick up time is tomorrow 8am-10am and 1pm-4pm! Please make sure you have paid for your yearbook. If you haven't, the office is open today until 4pm!

YEARBOOK UPDATE!

WOOHOO!!! Yearbooks have shipped and will arrive tomorrow!!! We will set up distribution on Wednesday, September 9th. We will have 2 time slots available! The first one is from 8am-10am and the second is from 1pm-4pm, on Wednesday. If you have not paid for your yearbook, please do so BEFORE Wednesday! You can drop off your payment in the school drop off box, we accept cash (exact change) or check-made out to "Summit Charter Academy." The office is open from 7:30am-4:00pm-- closed this Friday the 4th and Monday the 7th!

Today was Mystery Day!

One random Mystery Day will be selected each month. Today, all students who attended live instruction this morning were rewarded with 5 Husky Points and a dance party! This upcoming week we will be sharing more details about our virtual school store and hope to launch it live to families the week of Tuesday, September 8.

This week has been especially challenging with its multiple tech issues. We thank you for your commitment and continue to be amazed by how hard you and your children have worked to make successful distance learning possible.
