As q***r people we know the truth about accepting that things aren't permanent. We've seen the power that evolution brings, and we rarely want to be defined in one particular way.
A lesson the world could learn from q***r people is to take silly things seriously. To enjoy the freedom of expression without reason, restrictions, or consequences. We play with the world, and celebrate how wonderfully unfinished it all is.

I’ve been really focused on Sounds Q***r and making music recently so I haven’t been posting a lot. I will be doing a big info dump of all the wonderful things that have taken place this summer very soon.

I’m delighted to be a part of this incredible event hosted by my beautiful friends at Punka along with Trans Pride South West - Bristol i’m coming for you!
This one feels particularly close to my heart for so many reasons, but it’s also going to be an outrageous party with some of the finest performers our community has to offer.

We’ll be launching their new season with an all night music extravaganza - and we are overjoyed to announce that the one and only, Nimmo will be headlining!

I’ve been a little quiet recently, there is lots to share on the music front, but I wanted to take a moment to tell you about a project that has been keeping me very busy for the last few months. As well as something I hold personally very close to my heart, it is a project that aims to connect the q***r community and the live music world in a way that really hasn’t been done before.
In October of last year, I found myself in a conversation with some like-minded people. We were discussing how there was a troubling lack (if any?) of music promoters that aimed to provide safe spaces for q***r artists they represented to to play in. As well as this, there are little to no spaces as an audience member to go and experience grassroots live music (shout out to !) safe in the knowledge that you are among your community and so can express yourself freely.
So we decided to make it ourselves.
Fast forward to March 2nd 2022 and Sounds Q***r launched to a sold out room and the feeling was explosive. The love and sense of community in the room brought literal tears to our eyes - finally a live music destination that our community can call home.
But the picture is much bigger than Sounds Q***r. This is an opportunity to create a dialogue between developing q***r artists and the music industry in a way that not only impacts our musical landscape, but the very way we understand q***r expression as a whole.
The q***r community thrives in its diversity - bridging cultures and enriching the world around us. But we so rarely see that represented in spaces that celebrate live music.
We’re tired of only being represented through the lens of narrow-minded tokenism. Lets change the narrative.
Let’s bring our love and support to music created by the gorgeous, creative powerhouses in our q***r family!

There are days that feel heavy, there are days that feel hopeless, there are days that feel powerful - so powerful in fact that I feel the divinity in all of us.
There are days where I feel optimism in spite of the huge amount of work that must done to create an equal world. There are days where i’m scared to walk outside in the clothes that I want to wear. There are days when I feel able to tell anyone who judges the way I present to go f**k themselves.
There are days that I wonder if i’m just kidding myself - that i’m just confused. There are days I feel freedom…most days I feel freedom.
There are days I feel like the bullseye on a dartboard - one small part of the bigger picture but somehow the target everyone wants to hit.
There are days I remember that as a non-binary person, my country will not legally recognise my existence;
there are days that I cry ancient tears.
There are days so filled with love for my community that I fear nothing.
There are days I wish I was invisible…
… I will never be invisible.
I exist right now, reminding myself that every day that I am visible is a day that I choose to take up space.
I am not confused, I am not androgyny, I am not half girl and half boy
I exist - outside of binaries, outside of definitions, outside of expectations.
You may see me on good days or bad days - but no matter day it is, you WILL see me.
With my power, my capacity to love endlessly, and my whole heart I am fu***ng coming for you!
Thank you to all of you for the love you have shown me on this journey. I’m learning to love better every day thanks to you.

Hey beautiful, how was your weekend?
I took the last few days to sit with my feelings about the first Sounds Q***r show last week. It’s been difficult to quantify - even to myself - in words how much it meant to us on the team and also to me on a personal level.
We set out to create a space that connected the q***r community over live music and positive vibrations - thanks to you, that mission was accomplished. You brought your heart and soul into that room and brought it to life. You make me proud as fellow q***r person and as an artist working to create a bigger, more diverse view of the q***r community for the future.
There are so many other things I could say, but honestly I would be able to do you justice. I’m inspired and motivated by your presence and energy, and I will be bringing all of myself to this project.
Thank you to the gorgeous team who made it all happen - here’s to the start of something really special.

So this feels pretty crazy and exciting to say, but the first Sounds Q***r show is on March 2nd at Paper Dress Vintage in London and I will be playing!!
I’m insanely excited to be sharing the stage with my bae St. Bishop and to be starting this new journey with you.
Q***r representation in music still has a long way to go, and we hope our night will add to a growing environment of positivity and celebration within our community.
