Today is a day to show appreciation for our nation's veterans. Happy Veterans Day! Thank you for your service, sacrifice and dedication to this country. We thank you for our continued freedom.
Unfortunately, Run for Warriors 5k will not take place this year to allow for social distancing and safety. We are hopeful that next year we will be able to hold this event as usual, with all proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project. Particularly today, on Veterans Day, we encourage you to donate to the WWP or any of the many organizations that serve to help our nations military in lieu of the Run for Warriors 5k registration fee. Thank you!

"When I served in the U.S. Marines in Iraq, everything made sense to me. I had a routine; I had friends; I knew what to do every day. But when my deployment ended and I returned home, I felt alone and isolated while dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). That all changed when I discovered Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP). They lifted me up and gave me hope. It was empowering, and it was a real turning point for me. Thanks to WWP supporters like you, I feel peace, healing, and a passion to help the next warrior."
With Gratitude,
Taniki Richard

Thank you to all who have served our country...
Have you registered yet?? It's almost time for the Run for Warriors 5k!
Here's what Bill Geiger, a Wounded Warrior, had to say:
"After I completed my deployments, I returned home to face a new battle: post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It affected my entire family and nearly tore us apart. But when I discovered the mental health services offered by WWP, I was able to take control of my PTSD and become the man, husband, and father I knew I could be.
WWP and supporters like you helped to bring me out of the darkness and into the light. No warrior should struggle alone. By registering for Carry Forward, you can ensure that warriors like me continue to receive the vital mental health care we need to recover and reach our highest ambition.
Help put the WWP mission in motion at your Carry Forward Virtual 5K. It's a mission that saved my life and kept my family together — and I am forever grateful."
The Run for Warriors 5k helps heroes like Bill Geiger. Please support men and women like him and register today!
Early registration for the 2nd annual Run for Warriors 5k will end on 9/30/19! Register now and save!

The Run for Warriors 5k is a family fun run/walk event held each year around Veterans Day created to raise funds for the Wounded Warriors Project. We are part of a greater community here to support Wounded Warriors and their families. All net registration fees are donated to the Wounded Warriors Project. The Run for Warriors 5k is ideal for anyone who wants to help veterans regardless of whether being a competitive runner, a jogger or a walker....everyone will enjoy the scenic and relatively flat race route at Katherine Rose Memorial Park.
By running with us, you are contributing to life-changing programs customized to each warrior's specific recovery needs. The Wounded Warrior Project helps these brave warriors thrive in life back home. We're helping our brothers and sisters living with traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder, and physical injuries get the specific help they need -- when they need it most. Warriors never pay a penny for WWP programs -- because they paid their dues on the battlefield. With our help, the free WWP services in mental health, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care changes lives.
