🥇I am honored to have been selected as one of the Moroccan Women Entrepreneurs for the prestigious cross-cultural German-Arab mentorship program! 🚀 In the spirit of bridging connections, Ouissal unites women entrepreneurs and executives for collaborative learning and growth.

Many of us seem to pursue a goal-focused way of life overlooking what we truly value...

We are often told, encouraged, and triggered to 'get this job', 'get that house', 'get that car', 'have a family', 'earn a lot of money, 'have this kind of body', 'get this outfit', 'be happy', 'feel good'...

Sometimes this way of living life can become so stressful and exhausting...

Pursuing endless goals to gain a sense of meaning or to be happy may be unfulfilling...

We usually miss out on a lot of aspects of life while we strive for the next goal...

Then once we achieve the  , we may feel anxious about what to do next...and we then start planning for the next goal...and the next goal...and the next goal...

In this process, we lose sight of what we really care about, what gives true meaning to our lives: our

Changing a behavior is difficult ⛈ because it moves you outside your comfort zone 🥰 to do things differently!

☀️ To be successful you have to face and accept your own fear of failure and take risks!

⚡ There will be frustrations, obstacles, expect them, they are part of the process!

So, before you embark on your “behavior change journey”....

⚡Am I ready to change my behavior?
⚡ What resources do I need to make this change a positive and lasting one?
⚡ What could prevent me from making this change happen ?
⚡ What might make me return to the old behavior?

☀️ It is important to investigate your willingness to change, the barriers that might stop you from doing so, and to measure the probability of your going back to the old behavior..

🌻 According to the “Stages of Change Model" (TTM/Prochaska & DiClemente -1970), there are 6 stages for behavior change:

1. Precontemplation: I am unaware / I don’t need to change my behavior...
2. Contemplation: I am thoughtful, aware there is a problem but I am not ready to make a change...
3. Preparation/Determination: I am getting ready to change. I believe this will make me healthier and happier. I start taking small actions ...
4. Action (Changing behavior): I am happy. I acquired new healthy behaviors...
5. Maintenance: I am doing all I can to sustain my new behavior and to prevent going back to my old one...
6. Termination: I am not going back to the old behavior...

We might all be judgemental !

Sometimes it is hard not to be !

Yet, being non-judgemental is a skill that can be learned by everyone. It needs a lot of practice though.

Today, I am happy to share with you few skills and tips that helped me accept the women I coach as they are and not judge them:

🌻Awareness: observe your thoughts. Notice when you are being judgemental with yourself and with other people... If you find yourself more in the “You Should or I should” and less in empathy and understanding then, you are being judgmental…

🌻 Curiosity: Approach every person with a “Beginner’s mind”. Be present, listen and let your mind be curious like a child open to inquiry, understanding, and creativity!

🌻 Acceptance: Let go all what is outside your control. Accept and Acknowledge the differences and the uniqueness as a growth opportunity. Focus on what gives meaning, fulfillment, satisfaction, and peace to you and to the other person.

🌻 Love: Once you’ve accepted the others for who they are, show them unconditional love, kindness, and compassion. You will make them feel safe and ready to change.

Finally, remember that practice is important!

The more you:

🌻 develop greater awareness,
🌻 act with a curious mind
🌻 accept yourself and the others
🌻 You have more loving-kindness towards yourself and the others..

You become less-judgemental 🙏🏻
