Happy Birthday, Chișinău!!! 🥳
🇲🇩 On the 14th of October 1436, the now capital, Chișinău was created! 🇲🇩
With this special occasion the team of Model European Union Chișinău is happy to share some interesting facts about the city!
1. Under the old Soviet Union regime, Chisinau was formerly called Kishinyov. A nickname for Chisinau is "The City of White Stone" for the use of limestone in its original construction. Another moniker for Moldova’s capital is "The Green City" for abundant grass and trees that cover its landscape. 🤍🍃
2. The first time the name "Chisinau" was dated was on July 17, 1436, the name would mean "stream"; 🏞
3. Goods produced in Chisinau are bought in more than 80 countries around the world; 🌍
4.The cultural life is maintained by 11 professional theaters, 9 museums, 5 concert halls, 48 libraries, 44 houses of culture, 8 cinemas;🎭🎨
5.Stefan cel Mare Central Park in Chisinau is Moldova’s oldest park. Given the many couples who met there, Stefan cel Mare Central Park is often referred to as “The Park of Lovers”. 💕
